Ten on the Sled

I had checked this book out of the library while visiting my 2 year old grandson. He loved it so much and wanted to read it again and again. So I ordered it! All of my young grandchildren love it and ask for it again when finished. I sing it to the tune of, “there were 10 on the bed and the little one said, move over, move over. So they all moved over and one fell out, etc.” I appreciate the fun action rhymes as the adventurous animal friends speed down the snowy slope in their toboggan.

what book isnt good. We were going to a house on vacation for a weekend in January. Toddlers were coming as well. This book was perfect because there was snow on the ground so the story was relevant

Fun book, counting, fun words, rhymes, all ages. gave 3 yr old for christmas gift. Would be an excellent gift to give teacher!

My 6 year old grandson picked up the cadence of this book immediately. Then we saw the play on words, (sheep shot, walrus whirled) and that became a fun part. Love all the details in the pictures. My grandson lives a distance and we video chat. I send a book to him and I have a copy and we alternate reading pages. This is a wonderful winter read aloud.

I was disappointed that it was made in china. But it is a great story & quality of book & paper (glossy) seems good. We removed the dust jacket since those get damaged so easily. The cover is also as nice, pictorial & glossy. The story is great, humorous & is a keeper. Love it.

Purchased as a gift. Text and graphics seem clear and bright

Living in wisconsin this story never gets old. The kids love the story and know it by heart. Very nicely illustrated.

I found this charmingly written and beautifully illustrated book so much fun to read to my grandson. He's two and a half, went sledding with his mother and me, his grandmother, for the very first time and absolutely loved it. Now, Ten on the Sled is such a fun read for him as we count and talk about having all these animals joining him on his sled. Just a lovely children's book whether you live in snow country or not.

It's that time of year again. Christmas is approaching and kids love this book.
