Very relaxing
I learned quickly that this incense is best used, in my experience, with charcoal rather than a flameless diffuser of any sort. The smoke is almost milky and very satisfying, and the fragrance is still on the softer side even when burning it. Then it lingers in the air, and it's quite soothing for my stressed-out little soul. There's a tiny bit of a ritual to it that also seems to relax me. It does burn faster on charcoal, so be warned if you're hoping for more longevity. In that case, definitely go with a flameless incense warmer if you've got one. It's way out of my normal price range, so I likely won't revisit it, but it was quite nice while I had it.

Seems to appeal differently to many of us...so interesting.
I am new to Agarwood and my interest was piqued as I have done my research on it since ordering. I love incense and experimenting with different types and methods of burning. When opening this canister I was able smell a light earthy scent, unlike others who say it is quite noticeable without burning. My 3rd bout of COVID in June changed my senses of taste and smell unfortunately. Once I lit a piece of the wood much like I would palo santo, the earthy scent became warmer, and I could sense a light sweet scent to it as well. I would say that for me this is a very light scent that feels warm and comforting, and a bit happy. The wood pieces themselves are about 1 1/2" - 2" for the most part and burn for a decent time. Due to my sense being skewed, I would like to find an incense burner as suggested to see if it appeals differently to my senses.

Chunks of wood that smell nice for a moment.
Uh wasnt sure what to expect with this one. It does have a lovely natrual spicy smell. The cubits of wood have random holes drilled into them to baby them up. Not a very strong smell.

A nice cheap oud
This is a nice low cost way to get involved into some oud. I am not educated about oud in person but I know a lot about it from studying perfumery - so I can say the price is low, I assume the quality matches and it has a good smell! The chips are a good size for burning/heating and I think the amount you get for the price is a good value. Great place to start!

A Beautiful Alternative to Palo Santo
I've been a longtime fan of Palo Santo wood and burn it on a regular basis. When I discovered this agarwood, I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm so glad I did—it smells absolutely amazing. I use a little torch lighter to heat a piece up until it's good and smoking. The scent is awesome and a really nice change from Palo Santo. I even have a piece on a burn tray in my bathroom to keep it smelling pleasant, and I'll light a piece in my living room every once in a while for aromatherapy. I still love Palo Santo, but this is a wonderful new addition to my routine. I would highly recommend ordering some to give it a try—you just might love it.

Oud or not? Oud is worth quite a lot. But the truth? It’s in a knot.
Ah, ignore my silly title. But it’s true! Read my review to understand what I mean…. I’ve read some reviews from other users here, and I really appreciate the input from more experienced agarwood enthusiasts. It was interesting to hear one expert mention that this wood might be enhanced—but even if so, it’s done skillfully. I can’t say for sure whether this product is enhanced or not, since I have almost no experience with wood incense besides palo santo. That said, it does smell really good. However, I noticed the listing originally had no reviews, and once reviews started posting, the listing was removed. I do wonder if this was a way to boost their store overall—which, in my personal opinion, sellers have the right to do—but I found this particular listing a little suspicious, especially given the product: oud wood (of course). Need I say more? Anyway, I still have to write my review, of course, to honor Vine guidelines. Let’s get into my analysis of this… oud? Hmm 🤔 After some research, I learned that “Quinan wood” is actually a rare type of agarwood. Agarwood itself is highly sought-after and valuable, so I do question why such a precious material would appear on Amazon Vine at all. From what I understand, sellers pay Amazon to list their products on Vine to get reviews. So, logically, if you had rare agarwood, wouldn’t you want to sell it to perfumery houses or specialty buyers instead of paying to list it on a platform where you essentially give it away for free just to get reviews? To me, that seems like one option outweighs the other. Not only that, but as other users mentioned, the product was stored in a very thin, flimsy plastic jar, and indeed it was. Which surprised me. For such a rare, highly sought-after, and expensive perfumery ingredient, I would expect it to be vacuum-packed or at least packaged in something sturdier than such thin plastic. That’s not to take away from the product itself, which honestly smells incredible. So, it’s hard to say—what’s the real story behind this product?

Not sure what this is but it stinks like bad body odor
First of all, I have a lot of very high quality incense, all of it is pure all natural no artificial fragrance added. I have both very expensive incense and I have less expensive incense, but all of it is 100% natural and made from high quality ingredients. I have a lot of agarwood and Sandalwood as the base wood for many of my different form factors of incense. When I saw this one come available and it was claiming to be solid agarwood which I know can be quite expensive, I thought I would give it a try. First of all it comes in a very cheap flimsy plastic container, with a poorly fitted lid which already sets the tone that this is not a high quality ingredient. In my little mostly empty plastic container, I received four small pieces of what looks like some kind of wood bark with holes drilled through them. Presumably the holes are drilled so that they can soak these chunks of wood in some kind of oil which is the first thing that burns off when you light them and it gives off a very dark black smoke and leaves an oily residue on the wood chips. If you try to light them again all of that external oil then completely Burns off so you can't get them to light again. Supposedly you put these on an electric burner and keep them at a constant temperature so they give off their fragrance gradually, but I couldn't get that method to work nor the lighting method like burning Palo Santo method to work. I haven't tried burning them on a charcoal incense briquette because they're such a big chunks and they don't break into smaller pieces. I saw some reviewers say that they were able to break theirs but mine are so hard it's like petrified wood almost. And I don't know what they soaked these wood chips in but when you open up the jar it literally stinks like really bad body odor. I don't know how anybody could think this smells good. And like I said I do have a lot of agarwood genuine incense so I know what it should smell like. And this is not it. At the current price point of $35 for these four little chunks of wood, I definitely do not recommend this product. There are plenty of amazing genuine agarwood incense sellers on Amazon, many of them much less expensive than this stinky petrified wood product, so I would keep looking.

Very, very nice!!
This is by far the most EXPENSIVE AND unusual incents I have ever smelled, definitely in a tie for my favorite with dragon's blood. It's much more like palo santo in the way it burns, it doesn't stay lit for long, barely even holds an ember - a few pieces of this will last a very long time. Needless to say, this was something of a 'gift,' not even close to a price I could afford. If there really are such chemistry properties as it can work to influence the mood, I wouldn't doubt such evidence in the slightest - a tiny whiff is very soothing for me; I wouldn't be surprised to learn the aroma is even addictive - it is beyond words to describe.
