Review for DOCTOR BABOR Microbiomic Moisture Glow Creme After ordering, it was a pleasure to try this truly fantastic day & night moisturizer. It features a unique blend of natural ingredients, including 8% beta root postbiotic complex (ferments,) prebiotics and mica glow pigments to not only treat skin, but to make it glow. I wasn’t sure until I tried it what glow is compared to shine, and there’s a huge difference. Glow is a pretty effect that’s not loud or overplayed. I have menopausal skin that followed a lifetime of dryness and excellent skincare regime, however, there’s ongoing struggles as my body adjusts hormonally, causing both the extremes of very dry skin and oily, depending on the day. I wondered if this crème might serve to moisturize during either situation and am thrilled that it works perfectly for me in either dry or oily mode. The results are long lasting and my skin feels nourished, looking less stressed. The Microbiomic Glow Crème is white and lightweight with a viscous gel-like consistency. It spreads across skin without drag, melting instantly with body heat and absorbs extremely well. The formula is very gentle. There’s a barely-there fragrance - it’s hardly noticeable. There’s an active amount of surface moisture lasting for about 5 minutes or less as the crème absorbs into skin. That absorption time feels like a refreshing, mini-spa treatment. As soon as I applied the first treatment I felt my skin’s surface tension relax and saw the glow. It’s an astonishing, yet subtle, surface effect. Though I really appreciate the ingredient profile, there are a few synthetics that I wished were replaced by healthier alternatives. Even so, they’re in small concentrations and Babor’s Microbiomic Glow Crème is 99% natural. I appreciate the foil induction purity seal Babor uses to ensure the product is airtight and hygienic. Standout Ingredients: • Glycerin one of my favorites because this humectant draws moisture to the skin, softens and plumps while supporting the skin barrier. • Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil nourishes and hydrates skin while acting as a skin barrier, helping absorbtion. • Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, a probiotic can enhance barrier function, promote renewal and improve hydration while balancing skin’s microbiome, reduce redness and water loss. • Cocoglycerides are natural fatty acids from coconut oil, its a powerful emollient and moisturizing. • Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides are natural fatty acids from palm oil known for their ability to nourish and hydrate while forming a protective layer, locking in moisture and helping to protect against environmental damage. • Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein moisturizes, soothes and has antioxidant properties helping to improve skin texture and hydration. • Beta Vulgaris Root Extract/Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract/Extrait De Racine De Betterave is known for its ability to hydrate skin while improving texture, plus it can protect as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. • Fructooligosaccharides are natural carbohydrate prebiotics that retain moisture, promote a plump and hydrated appearance. • Coco-Caprylate natural & lightweight emollient from coconut oil known to soften & hydrate skin, supports the skin barrier. • Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil moisturizes and is known to be a strong antioxidant,, protecting skin from environmental stress and can reduce signs of aging without clogging pores. • Acer Rubrum Bark Extract, from the red maple tree is also a rich antioxidant that protects from environmental damage while promoting collagen production, enhancing elasticity and reducing the signs of aging. • Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil has a high Vitamin E content, is used to moisturize and protect skin from damage while hydrating and softening skin by forming a barrier that retains moisture. • Pentylene Glycol, found in sugar beets and corn cobs, is a moisturizing humectant that attracts and retains moisture. • Lactic Acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that’s a gentle exfoliant helping to remove dead skin cells and improve texture and tone, it also attracts moisture and enhances hydration. Regulates product pH. • Sodium Hyaluronate, made from hyaluronic acid, can attract and retain moisture. It penetrates deeper layers of skin providing long lasting hydration. • Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is an antioxidant that protects from free radical damage and environmental stressors, moisturizes and improves barrier function to reduce signs of aging. • Biosaccharide Gum-1, a natural polysaccharide derived from bacterial fermentation, It helps to retain moisture and forms a protective film on the surface while improving texture and soothes. • Sodium Benzoate, a naturally occurring preservative found in cranberries, plums or apples. • Geraniol is a sweet floral scented ingredient used for perfume and its soothing effects. • Mica is a natural mineral used for it’s reflective effects & shimmer, making skin glow. • Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide) acts as a white pigment, but this natural mineral is sensitive-skin friendly can act as a physical UVA/UVB barrier. Synthetic Ingredients: • Parfum (Perfume/Fragrance) could be replaced by shea butter, essential oils or botanical extracts. • Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) is a pH adjuster. Healthier, all natural alternatives are citric acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid or vinegar. • Phenoxyethanol us a synthetic preservative, considered acceptable if used in low <1% concentrations. Alternatives could be vitamin E or rosemary extract. Definitely recommended, and will reorder! An excellent value for a large supply. 99% natural & Vegan formula. Wow, do I love this Doctor Babor Microbiomic Moisture Glow Cream! I had to go fetch the jar from my bathroom because I am hooked on it and have used it daily, both a.m. and p.m., for over a month. I am age 72, with skin on the dry side. This sinks right in to my skin and deeply hydrates without leaving any shine. It does not interfere with the active products I use regularly – retinol and vitamin C. It also does not affect make up application. This line is manufactured and distributed from Germany. Love that ingredients are 98% clean as well as totally vegan, relying mainly on botanical oils and extracts. This product is not heavy in active ingredients, but contains small amounts of actives I really like adding to my routine – ferments, lactic acid and salicylic acid. This is probably why I have had no irritation when I apply this moisturizing cream over my existing anti-aging products. I even find it suitable for neck because of the long lasting hydration. It may be a little pricey, but because I am using it a.m., p.m. and on my neck, it is worth every cent. I will be sure to make this 1.69 ounce jar go a long way. I had to double check if it had added fragrance. It does, but it is fresh and subtle. If you want a non-greasy, healthy glow alone or with make up, this is your cream. It is not rich as in greasy, but it is moisturizing enough that I question whether it would be suitable for oily skin types. I do recommend this cream for dry, combo or sensitive skin.

First Impressions The Babor Microbiomic Moisture Glow Cream has a soft, cushiony texture that feels instantly comforting on the skin. It spreads easily, melts in smoothly, and gives that healthy, lit from within glow right away. The finish is beautiful and makes the skin look fresh and well hydrated. How It Performs On My Skin My skin leans oily during the day, especially through the T zone, and this cream definitely speeds up that shine for me. It still looks pretty, but I find myself reaching for blotting sheets a couple of times throughout the day when I wear it. Because of that, I reserve this for evening use where it really shines. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized, balanced, and smooth by the time I wake up. Daytime Use On My Neck I do use this on my neck during the day since that area does not get oily for me. The formula feels great there and gives me the hydration I want while I work on smoothing and preventing fine lines. It absorbs well and leaves the skin looking even and healthy without any heaviness. Overall Thoughts This is a rich, glow boosting cream that works beautifully as part of my nighttime routine. It gives me a hydrated, fresh look and feels especially nice on the neck area during the day. If your skin is dry or you enjoy a dewy finish, this could easily be an all day moisturizer. For me, it is a great evening cream that delivers a smooth moisturized glow.

This face cream definitely feels like a higher-end moisturizer, and you can tell as soon as you put it on. The texture is rich and creamy but not greasy. It doesn’t sink in right away, which I actually didn’t mind because it feels like it’s really coating and nourishing your skin at first. After a few minutes, it absorbs better and leaves your skin feeling soft, hydrated, and really comfortable. It gives a nice healthy glow without looking oily. The ingredients are a big plus too. The beetroot complex is packed with antioxidants, which helps protect your skin and gives it that fresh, revitalized look. Hyaluronic acid helps pull in moisture and keep your skin hydrated and plump. I hadn’t previously heard of this brand, which is a German brand that seems to be popular with estheticians and other skincare professionals. And after using it, I can see why, as it did a wonderful job hydrating my dryness-prone skin almost immediately. The texture is a bit denser than other face creams I’m used to and it felt like it might go on too thick, but it blended really nicely into my skin without feeling greasy or heavy. It absorbed beautifully and quickly and my face felt smooth and hydrated. I didn’t feel the need to apply more right away like I do with some lighter face moisturizers. Although I haven’t been wearing much makeup lately, my skin felt supple and makeup-ready pretty much right away. I wasn’t sure if it had any scent until I saw fragrance it listed in the ingredients— that’s how subtle it. I generally prefer unscented skincare products but the smell of this is so understated that it's not a deterrent for me. The main drawback is, of course, the price tag. It’s definitely a great quality moisturizer that would be a “splurge” item for most people, myself included. Given how pricey it is, I’d want to stretch it as far as possible. And while a little does go a long way, my skin seemed to drink it up and I ended up using more than I expected given how substantial the consistency is. In the end, I’m not sure I’d personally be able to justify spending that much on a moisturizer that’s going to get used up more quickly, even if it does work really well. But compared to other facial moisturizers in its price range, it definitely performs well.
