These are fine, but I was looking for socks that were NOT tight around the top..... I can't say they are really "TIGHT", but they aren't comfortable either exactly. I bought these in two different colors, and both sets are the same. I find I am not wearing them much, I've went back to my older worn out ones. The price was better than some I looked at; but honestly, the white ones I bought from another company that was one pair less, and more expensive are more comfortable around the leg. These said they weren't tight, and they aren't exactly. In a pinch I'll use them, but I find at the end of the day, I have a band around my leg where they sat.... So just not feeling great about either package. Hope this helps .

Where else can you get a Kelly green color like this? Not only are they comfortable, but they hug your foot and angle and won't sag or slouch. These haven't pilled at all like many of my other socks (a real plus for me). My only complain t is that they don't make these in purple!

Only knocked off one star since they technically do what I got them for? But first of all, these are not the color in the photo so they don't match what I wanted them to. Length is good and they do prevent blisters and chafing in stiff sport boots (ice skates, roller skates, inline skates, ski boots, etc) which is what I got them for. HOWEVER, no these are not warm socks nor do they keep your feet cool. But, boy, are they absorbent! My feet have never been more sweaty, to the point that I'm considering buying other socks since these seem so problematic.

I bought these because the color in the pictures online are a nice light blue/teal color that I had been looking for for a while, I guess I'm still looking for some because these are several shades lighter. I'm still keeping them but in no way are they the color that is shown in the listing.

My intentions when purchasing these socks were twofold: Christmas is coming up and, as any nautical person would relate to, red and green denote the left(port) and right(starboard) sides of a boat or ship. The colors are a perfectly fun way to start a conversation..."No, I'm not colorblind."A couple of things to point out. Even though the two color options were ordered from the same page, the green socks were about an inch taller. No big deal as I'll be wearing pants. As for the "athletic" description, the socks are thinner which, to me, resembles men's hosiery more than the thicker types of socks I usually associate with physical pursuits.All in all, the quality seems good from first impression. The thin aspect will be the only saving grace for my son, who has a size 11 foot.Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All.

My fault -- I didn't notice the "quarter crew" in the description. If you like short socks at the ankle, you will probably like these. Not my style so I returned. Can't say how they fit otherwise, but taking them out of the package-- they seemed to have a nice texture. And the color is vibrant and eye-catching. If it's your style, I say: go for it.

I don’t normally wear brightly colored socks but I was getting bored with white socks.I purchased some sneakers in the same color and wanted something to match. I looked at a few local stores and all I could find were novelty socks with all kinds of images on them. I was not ready for that.These were a good price and when I received them, they were quite comfortable. They fit well. I am unsure about putting them in the dryer. I want them to retain their fit so I think I will hang them to dry.

I got these strictly for road biking - to match the rest of my outfit - but they are so comfortable I am starting to wear them all the time I don't have to show my feet in a formal setting (they are bright red). LOVE them! Great price and great quality. Super happy!
