New Oud fan here!
So you definitely need a burner for this. I thought I'd be able to set it on fire on an ash tray, but it just doesn't work like that. It singes and just doesn't smell great. If used properly, it provides a lot of really luxurious smelling aroma, burns for a long time, and the smell permeates the area for a good long time, even after it's extinguished. This is really high-quality oud, from what I can tell. I'm a bit new in the area though. They're about an inch, maybe two long; and about as big around as a woman's pinkie. There are 15-20 of them. I love this. I will order more when I'm out!

Sweet woody aroma
Ordered this: Ercao Chinese Natura Kynam Agarwood (Qinan Oud)High Quality - because I have never tried anything like it and was curious. It came in a brown box with some product details printed on the side. The wood chunks were inside a cheap plastic container with a sticker on it. That was pretty underwhelming for the price. I do not have a heater but after reading about how to use this I crumpled up some foil and put a few shavings on top of the stove, trying to create a low temperature burner. At first nothing really happened but after a while the room did indeed start to fill with a very unique aroma, not sure how to describe it. Not at all a burned wood smell but a sweet kind of honey, wood resin vibe. I saw a few vapors but no burned smoke. It has been about 20 minutes and the very small amount I put in there is still releasing vapor and has filled the house. Not nearly as resinous as the pictures show but I am really ignorant and it does produce a scent quite different from burnt incense. I may have to buy a warmer just to properly use this stuff.

Very fun to experiment with real oud. Generous amount, too.
These oud wood chips are the real deal. I take needlenose pliers and bite off a little piece from a larger chip, then flatten it a bit before putting the little wood chip (about the size of a small pea) on my electric incense burner. I've gotten excellent results with the temp set at about 200 degrees Celsius. The scent is not sweet (like a mixed incense stick), but woody and resinous. A bold, masculine smell that permeates the air. Used this way, the 20 grams included here will last quite a while. I love all types of incense, especially agarwood, frankincense, other resins, and sandalwood. Always fun to play with a high-quality single ingredient. Most low-quality incense is made up of artificial fragrances and oils. This is 100% oud, and it smells like oud. I've also gotten pretty good results warming this with a tealight, and in a electric wax warmer. Fairly low heat gets the best results, and allows the oud to stay fragrant for a long while (2 hours or so) as the fragrance is consumed on the heated surface.

Terrible For Me
Peace and Blessings To You My experience with it is awful. As soon as I Burnt it, I smelled a faint sweetness then afterwards it was all foul odor. I can't believe this. I must of gotten a bad batch because it stinks. I have agarwood incense so I know something isnt right.

Mid quality
Pros: Natural agarwood produces a rich and complex aroma. Compact block size improves ease of use for incense burning. Sustainable sourcing adds value for environmentally conscious use. Product works well for meditation and relaxation settings. Cons: Scent feels weak for the cost Material quality is not reflected in scent depth or strength Small quantity reduces value for money. Requires proper heating setup which affects ease of use. Aroma dissipates quickly after burning Burn time for actual scent is short lived. Turns to burnt wood instead after about 15 mins

This is REAL agarwood!
By definition, Kyara (kynam) agarwood is the rarest and most expensive grade of agarwood. I’m a beginner perfumer — I make perfumes with aroma chemicals and, eventually, rare ingredients. The wood smells incredibly potent. When I first opened the bottle, it was so strong that it actually tickled my nose hairs! I have no doubt this is the real thing. I ordered 20 grams and got exactly 20g! I plan to keep this, age it, and eventually experiment with it in my blends. Oh, and I also squeezed a piece of the wood between my fingers — indeed, there’s a slight stickiness to it.
