Geek & Gorgeous - A-Game 5 - 0.05% Retinal serum - Silky, Lightweight, Medium-Strength Retinal - for all skin types, especially combination & oily skin, 1 oz

This has become my favorite Retinal product. Not only is it a reasonable price, it also does not irritate my skin like some of the other Retinal products I've tried in the past. I think it's possibly because of the soothing ingredients in it, plus the way it's formulated. It's very lightweight, blends into your skin immediately and is very hydrating. My skin overall is looking better since I started using it.

My Retinol journey began with ROC, L'Oreal, Obagi, then RetinAL with Medik8, and now G&G. I've found this inexpensive, but powerful brand to be the Goldilocks formula for my mature combination skin. The 1-pump amount covers face and neck, consistency is smooth, no noticeable scent, with a 5-minute dry down before serum and moisturizer can be applied. Not looking for miracles, just want healthy, clear skin. Will be transitioning to .10% next.

I’m still adjusting to it but it’s working really well, I have less breakout and my skin texture is better now…

Awesome product. Works really good. I've used it for a few months and decided to try the 0.1% . I Love it too. I then tired the 0.2% but it was a tad to strong for my very sensitive face so I went back to 0.1%. Love their products. Use them everyday in my skin care routine.

I think it works! Have been using for about a month now; I can't say there has been a dramatic change in my skin, but I do notice fewer breakouts, less redness and a more 'glowy' complexion. I only use this and a CeraVe gentle moisturizer. Sometimes I also use a Niacinimide serum, but not every day, so I do believe the change in skin appearance is because of this product! It did not irritate my skin or make it tingle (except maybe the first 2 times I used).

I’ve been using this for 4 months. One bottle has lasted that long. I just ordered another but I’m still using the first one. I love how it absorbs quickly. I don’t like oily retinal. I don’t have sensitive skin which helps but it seems to be gentle

Dans la trentaine, j'ai estimé qu'il était temps de commencer les rétinoïdes. J'ai attendu que ma peau ne soit plus sensibilisée pour débuter le A-Game 0,05%. Il s'agit du plus petit dosage de Geek and Gorgeous => parfait pour débuter. Ayant la peau très sensible + rosacée, j'ai commencé trèèèès progressivement: 1 fois par mois puis 2 fois par mois pendant un mois puis une fois par semaine. J'applique actuellement 2 fois par semaine le soir et n'ai pas remarqué d'effet indésirable ni d'inconfort pendant la rétinisation. Je suis très contente de l'effet sur ma peau. Elle se lisse progressivement et sa qualité s'améliore visiblement. Je pense que le flacon va me durer un moment et je pense également utiliser un moment ce dosage car il est déjà très efficace je trouve. Je n'ai de base pas beaucoup de rides/ridules=> ça ne sert à rien de taper trop fort, surtout avec une peau sensible. je l'applique également sur mon contour de l'oeil et je dois dire que je constate bien l'effet lissant sur les petites ridules. Je n'ai pas testé d'autres rétinoïdes mais je compte bien rester sur celui-ci. Il est important pour ma peau que les produits sans rinçage ne contiennent ni alcool asséchant, ni parfum, ni huile essentielle. le flacon pompe airless est très pratique. je recommande sans hésiter ce rétinal, même aux peaux sensibles. Il faut par contre bien faire attention à ne pas l'utiliser sur peau sensibilisée et à débuter progressivement.

*UPDATE: After almost a month of using it every day, I have noticed a big improvement in my skin. My skin is noticeably smoother, clearer and my hyperpigmentation has started to fade. I still get a few pimples here and there but they clear up much quicker and leave less PIH. I have always struggled with clogged pores on my nose, it's something i've been self-conscious about for years and they're starting to visibly reduce in size (they have become less clogged). I plan on finishing this bottle and then switching to the 0.1% as it's now for sale. I'm incredibly happy with the results so far and the lack of irritation. All for an affordable price. **I use this serum at night and the vitamin C serum from Geek & Gorgeous in the morning. Together, they are working wonders. I've been using this serum for a few days (every night) and I've been really liking it so far. My skin is noticeably more glow-y and after a small breakout after first using it, I've noticed a reduction in big pimples. My skin is slightly drier but that's ok with me as retinoids tend to cause flaky skin while you're getting used to it. It's still early days so this review may change but I would recommend it for people that have tried retinol before but just want a little extra boost. I hope they start selling the 0.1% retinal on amazon soon. I have used Adapalene and Tretinoin (separately) in the past and I found them both to be a bit too strong, especially Tretinoin. I went off using retinoids for a while but recently I had been using retinol and had seen improvements in skin texture and number of breakouts but I wanted something stronger and more effective. I had seen A-Game be recommended by several youtubers including Dr Dray so I knew about it but I recently saw it's now on amazon so I immediately bought it. The serum is bright yellow and has a light emulsion/creamy texture. It spreads on easily but does give my face a slight yellow tint but you only use it at night so that's fine by me (in the morning there is no yellow tint).
