Great store cupboard staple.
I love this mince. I have used for years. It is low fat and high in protein and low in carbs and is quick and easy to prepare if you are in a hurry. Put a sachet in a bowl or jug and cover with boiling water and wait until it becomes rehydrated and plumps up to nearly double its size this takes just a few minutes. I flavour the water I soak it in with stock or herbs and spices according to what I'm using it for as otherwise this has no flavour and is very bland. After it is rehydrated it is ready to add to whatever recipe you are doing but requires very little further cooking. I have used this in many recipes that require veggie mince such as lasagne, spaghetti, shepherds pie chilli, stir fry, curry etc and all have been perfect. It can be used to make a veggie loaf with egg or cheese to bind it with or egg replacer if you are vegan. I have also used it to make a low carb alternative topping to replace breadcrumbs when topping cheesy veg bakes or macaroni cheese. By half rehydrating the mince so it stays a little crunchy and adding some herbs and cheese or nutritional yeast. You could do similar as a sweet topping to replace crumple topping on sweet desserts. I also know people that use it with milk and sweetener as a low carb porridge or breakfast cereal alternative. I has many uses and is great to experiment with. As it is dried it is a great store cupboard staple and keeps for ages.

Easy to use and great cooked into sauces
I have used granose many times and this was a great value bulk buy for dried food, this mince is easy to use and perfect ina vegetarian bolognese, vegetarian cottage pie and I like it. Some of the mince I have bought that has been frozen has a weird taste but this does not, it has easy to use instructions and is quick to make. It always tastes great cooked into something and how I use it, I do not like it made on its own. I am going to repurchase this when I need more and from this seller as it came quickly and came packaged in an easy to use box that keeps it tidy along with a good shelf life and being dried means I do not have to take up fridge or freezer space, excellent.

Fooled Meat Eaters!
I rehydrated 1 package using 2 crumbled beef Oxos, only adding enough water to cover & no excess liquid to drain. Then fried onions etc, added 'mince' & made a very successful lasagna! Highly recommend!

The best alternative to minced meat I found so far.
Amazing stuff, great texture. Great for Bolognese etc. You need to add spices and/or herbs as it tastes very neutral. The unopened sachets can be kept in the cupboard for ages, that’s why I always keep a stack of them, so I have it always available.

Veggie food
I use to buy a lot of this veggie food and found it to my nice when cooked properly. Most people just want instant food maybe this the reason that this product is no longer available. I use to carry this product on camping trips and overseas holidays.Another product called Beanfast was withdrawn a few years agoHope they both come back to the market.

Ok if you like the taste of soya
Bought these for a camping trip to add some protein to the meals - they were easy to cook in a chilli or shepherd's pie, but tasted more like soya than beef mince, I feel the flavouring could be improved. Next time I would just buy plain TVP at my local shop and add beef flavouring, it would come out about the same.

Good alternative for dried vegetarian mince.
I use these sachets to make a bolognese, easy to make, can put sachet straight into dish with liquid in it e.g. tomatoes. Quick easy meal to make.

The best!!
Love this, used in a chillis - not chunky like other brands (hate that) used to buy in the shops but they stopped selling - searched Amazon and thankfully it’s found at a great price too!!
