10 years of nursing and pumping experience. Review written for new moms.
I used voice to text to write my review* PARUU is a very good brand of breast pump. I have been breastfeeding and or pumping for over 10 years now and have owned many pumps throughout that period of time. I will say, as for wearables, you're going to see a major swing in the price differences between more affordable pumps like Paru and then more expensive pumps that can get you into the $300 and $400 range. At first glance, this may make you think, oh, I should get the more expensive one. It's more durable. It's going to last and it's probably going to work better. In the wearable pump market, this is definitely not the case. And I'm speaking from experience. With Paruu, you're getting an affordable pump that works well, that has all the same bells and whistles as most of the super expensive pumps. And you're not investing hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I don't wanna name any other brands, but I'm just gonna leave it at that. Now, if you're a brand new mom, there's a few things that you really do need to know. Paru is going to give you some different insert size options. If these are not the perfect flange inserts, you can go here on Amazon and you can search for a flange insert kit. It'll come with a proper ruler to measure and lots of different sizes. The flange fit determines how much milk you're going to get and if you're going to be in pain or not. It should feel like a gentle tug and it should not hurt. If it hurts, the flange size is most likely the wrong size. You can also take a small bit of oil and put it inside of the flange. Another note to new moms, regardless of the pump you get, you're going to need to be replacing duck bills, diaphragms and sometimes other pieces. So if you have an Amazon baby registry, I highly suggest that you go ahead and put the replacements on there for your P16 or your P10 Paruu pump now. You will be getting a completion discount through Amazon for 15% off. This is a great time to buy that stuff ahead of time and early so that you have what you need and so that you save money. Those replacement parts, again, regardless of the type of pump you buy, can be pricey. So do that ahead of time so that you're prepared. You will be replacing those parts frequently. It depends on the brand, but in my experience, if you're using a pump several times a day, you're going to want to replace those duckbills and those diaphragms pretty regularly, like at least once a month. So keep this in mind. If you're only going to be using the pump once or twice a day, you might be able to get away with two months, but over time, the efficacy of the pump will go down if you do not replace those. Those pieces get loose, the suction isn't as strong, you may not notice it, but your output will be compromised, and it can mess up your breastfeeding supply. Something else to consider whenever you are shopping for a pump is what is my ability to replace my pump if something does go wrong? So, pumps do break. As I mentioned, I've been doing this for a long time. Expensive pumps break, affordable pumps break. Whenever an expensive pump breaks, then you're having to deal with customer service, trying to help you to get the money to replace your pump. This can take a long time, and if you're someone that's heavily reliant on your breast pump, you may not have the time to go back and forth with customer service a million times. Now I do suggest you go ahead and do the extended warranty with Paruu, but I say this because Paruu is affordable enough that you can replace your pump if something breaks, and you can do it in a timely manner, and then you can deal with whatever issues you have going on with Paruu. Whenever you go with the more expensive pumps, if you have an issue, you could be waiting days or weeks for them to reply, and you may not necessarily have $300 or $400 to replace your wearable pump that you desperately need. That's one of the reasons I like Paruu, because if it breaks, I know I can afford to replace it without having to think twice. That's a really important factor to me. Plus, the pump does work. I really like the P10 a lot, but I wanted to go ahead and give the P16 a try because it's a lot cuter, just being honest. It's also a little bit slimmer fitting. The P10 is pretty bulky, but the P16 is quite a bit slimmer looking. I will say, though, the P10, absolutely phenomenal pump, not too bulky at all. I just wanted to give the P16 a try. They're both really good pumps. I'm happy to have two around. That way I have an extra one if I don't have my stuff cleaned, then I can just go grab another one. I do a lot of traveling and it can be hard to boil parts daily; this way I can toss some in the bridge and boil both sets every other night. On the cleaning note, again, this is for new moms. I assume a lot of new moms will be reading the reviews. You do have to boil pieces of the pump. Something that I learned the hard way was if you have hard water, then you're going to need to be boiling those parts in a bottle, like bottled distilled water or something like that. Otherwise, you will get hard water residue on the pump parts, which makes them feel chalky, which to me is a sensory nightmare. If you don't mind the chalky feeling, disregard, but if you don't want that chalky feeling and you don't want that stuff in your breast milk, you will need to be boiling the parts in distilled water or bottled water. This is super, super important. In the event that you boil it in hard water and you get the chalky feeling all over it, you can soak them in vinegar for like 10 or 15 minutes and then wash as normal with a fragrance-free dish soap, rinse, and then boil, but that's a lot of extra steps when you can just boil with the distilled water. I know it seems expensive, but it is just the better way to go. This is true with all pumps, by the way, not just Paruu. And I gotta make that clear. All this advice really is based on all the different pumps. I myself also choose to use a wall pump, a spectra S1. I think it's important that moms, especially those who are relying on pumping or they're needing to exclusively pump either short-term or long-term, also have a wall pump. At the end of the day, wall pumps are more powerful. If you have health insurance, there's a good chance that Your health insurance will cover a pump. If they do cover a pump, you should get an expensive wall pump as well, just so that you have that extra. (Encourage Spectra ) This is especially true if you're exclusively pumping. You need that. It will bring more milk out. But the Paruu holds its own. It absolutely expresses just as much milk as any other wearable pump I'm aware of on the market. It's far more affordable. It's good looking, easy to charge, easy to clean. I definitely recommend it. If between P10 and P16 and you’re only getting one, many say the p10 is better. I haven’t noticed that YET but if it’s between one or the other I’ve had my P10 since October 2025.

My FAVORITE wearable pumps!
What can I say other than these pumps have quickly become my absolute favorite. The day I got them I washed and used them for my next pump session and fell in love right away. I had some nipple damage from a previous pump and was hoping these were pretty forgiving with the suction. They have settings memory so if you forget to change the mode and suction, the second you turn it on you could feel your soul leave your body lol These have helped keep my supply where it’s at (it about to regulate soon) but they empty me so well. They’re easy to use and have a timer on them. They fit comfortably in my bra and I’m able to walk around and do some light cleaning or dishes in the meantime. 10000000/10 would HIGHLY Recommend

GET IT!
This breast pump is AMAZING! This pump works so well and the battery like is pretty decent. If you’re a busy person this is a great cheap pump to get! I can do what I need to do around the house but I wouldn’t recommend bending forward too much or else it might spill.

Truly 4.5 stars, would recommend!
I have been very pleasantly surprised by this pump! I was looking for a wearable pump with silicone flanges. I have been an exclusive pumper and have solely been using the Spectra (which I got through insurance) up until a couple weeks ago. I tried the Elvie Stride (on my own dime) and was having trouble with the way they fit. This pump has been comfortable, simple to use and has been giving me better output so far. I have used it for 3 sessions and my “weaker” side has been giving more milk than usual. It use to take forever to get a let down before. I love that there are multiple modes, this is something I didn’t even know I wanted! I have been using a low volume as well and still getting great output so far. The suction is good, the battery life is something I haven’t had time to test too much but it seems like I may have to charge multiple times over the course of the day if I wanted to only use this pump. The pump itself does get warm over the course of use, which the manual does give caution to. This would be an absolute 5 star product if the battery stays true and doesn’t wear down easily, which only time will tell as well as the pump itself staying cool. But overall I’m very happy with this purchase!

Great suction, affordable; but motor a bit loud
Just received it yesterday. Cleaned and sterilized it immediately and used it this morning. A bit louder than my wearable from insurance (motif) but suction seems great. At this point I don’t really care that it’s a little loud. It does the job. Output was just as good as my brand named insurance one. I love that it came with different flange inserts and a nipple ruler.

Better than Momcozy and must buy!
I ordered a Momcozy through free insurance. It started well until the pump broke/ stopped working in the first 6 weeks of using. I Requested a replacement. The Momcozy continued to stop working every 5-6 weeks. Their customer service was kind at first but then cut me off from replacements. Before an International trip, I researched the Paris pump and ordered on my own. This pump had been more reliable than a $200 Momcozy. I have not had any quality issues and the output is very comparable to Momcozy. This Paruu pump had been a life saver. The motor sound is just a little noisier than Momcozy. But not a major problem as I pump at my desk in a semi private office daily!

Worth the price.
This pump works very well. I like that there are different settings. Battery life lasts a couple days. Easy to clean. And you can’t beat the price compared to other wearable pumps. I love being able to sit and eat or walk around while pumping.

Great pump with nice suction!
I’m so glad I bought this breast pump while it was on sale! I didn’t expect it to be this good. I’ve used Spectra and Zomme pumps, which are much more expensive, but this one is my favorite so far. I’m amazed by how much milk I get every time I pump. With my other pumps, I would hardly get 5 oz and assumed I had a low supply—but after using the Paruu breast pump, I realized that wasn’t the case. Now I consistently get more than 8 oz each time I pump. I wasn’t paid to write this review—I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else. I highly recommend it to moms looking for a more affordable breast pump. You won’t regret it! My only complaint is the battery life—I wish it lasted longer, which is why I gave it 4 stars. And lastly the sound is also very loud😂😂😂but I don’t mind!
