GENETICS:ANALYSIS AND PRINCIPLES, 5E

I am from India and I purchased this international edition. This book have 755 pages excluding appendix, glossary and index. Great book,I have PDF version of 4th edition of this book which I liked and that's why I ordered this international edition which is fully coloured and is printed on good quality paper. Book has lot of questions and solved one which helps to understand topic well.

This was the textbook my professor used to instruct Genetics. Overall, I would rate this book 5/5. The author does a very good job at describing the details of genetics, and trust me there is a LOT of details, while at the same time summarizing the key take away with figures, diagrams, and tables. The diagrams that supplement the text ensure the reader understands what they are reading with beautiful illustrations. The information is organized very well, and the material is presented in a very friendly manner to students. With that said, this is genetics we are talking about, which is no cake walk. This is a class that requires some background information in general biology and chemistry to fully appreciate and comprehend. But the author does a fantastic job at teaching you what you need to know. Definitely one of the best textbooks that I have read on such a complex topic.

I have always been a huge fan of amazons rental program. Not only can you get a book for a very small price (compared to the actual price of the book) but the rental periods are long enough to span an entire semester. This book, like the others I have rented, arrived on time. Rentals are promised to either be gently used or new and this one arrived new and still in the wrapping! At first, I wondered if I had accidentally purchased the book, but it was set as a rental, so I wa even more impressed. The book was required for a course and, although not my cup of tea, was well written and easy to understand. Overall, I was very satisfied.

it's been quite a few years since I've had a formal class in genetics. I bought this book to refresh my knowledge of the subject and to learn about new advances in the field. This book is an excellent introduction to this complex subject and a pleasure to read. Hadn't expected the last bit. Bonus!

Really good book-it's what got me through genetics. Some concepts could be worded or formatted a tad clearer, but overall one of the bests textbooks I've used thus far in my college career!
