John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course series is excellent for beginners... makes learning fun and really easy for kids... prescribed for my 7 year old's piano lessons.As for the print and quality... It looks like a colour photocopy of the original; illustrations look a little faded but printed material is clear and very functional. I also have book 1 which has glossy pages with bright illustrations ... a discernable drop in quality from book 1 to book 2.

I love the way the book is laid out. I progresses carefully, just adding a new feature every few pages. This prevents the student being too much information at once.
