I make a lot of sourdough bread for my family, loaves that typically have dark, hard, and crunchy crusts. I've found that as I work through a typical one-kilo loaf using a standard bread knife, cutting the remaining loaf into edible slices gets harder as the loaf gets smaller. Twice in the last year I sliced my finger instead, requiring stitches both times. So I bought this machine hoping to avoid any more trips to the ER. And it works beautifully! This is the ideal machine for slicing tough, hard, crusty loaves into thin sandwich-sized pieces safely and easily. Works every time. This is the best addition to my bread-making kitchen in years. I have no negative comments, if fact. If you regularly cut up homemade or artisan breads, especially those with hardened or even stale crusts, this device works perfectly every time. Wonderful machine!

A dreamboat! A complete game changer in my sourdough journey! Wow! This product is well made, easy to use, aesthetically appealing- but best of all it slices bread, at your desired thickness, absolutely beautifully and uniformly! No longer do I fear cutting myself trying to get through sturdy sourdough crust! No longer will my toast, buttered bread or sandwiches be lopsided - just nice, even slices! Woohoo! Such a great product!

OMG OMG OMG! I love this so much! It cuts so easily, like my sourdough loaves are butter. I honestly cant get over how impressed I am with this and recommend it 1000x over. I do like the compact size, seems pretty sturdy. I do think the bottom board could be a little bigger to fit your loaf better, but then it wouldn't be so compact. Love the guiding arm on the side, keeps the slices from getting caught in the handle. And it sliced my loaf so freaking fast! Super lightweight too. Couldn't ask for a better little slicer!

This is a great little tool to have in the kitchen! I started making sourdough bread and it cuts right through that hard crust! The slices are even and it was simple to use. I took a star off because it doesn’t come with a protective cover leaving sharp blade exposed so make sure to store away from kids! Also there is a crumb issue so if you have super crispy bread make sure to put it in a place that you can clean up the flying crumbs.

Was so hesitant to buy a manual bread slicer, but a gift card gave me the excuse to step up. I’m very pleased with this model I chose & will gift it to family I share my baked sourdough with for their convenience. Love the size & weight to move on counter & place after to a spot in my kitchen. The ease of slicing is great. The blade handles the crusty loaves easily. Will be favorite in my kitchen.

Honestly it’s a lot better than I expected. The suction cups for the counter is a great idea and they work really well. The manual crank is easy, requiring a lot less muscle than a knife. The sourdough bread slices come out picture perfect and I love the fact than you can choose how thick of a slice you want. Totally worth the price. Buy it!

After years of cutting wanky slices on sourdough loaves, I purchased this. It is just spiffy! Easy to use, cuts through crusty loaves with ease, and best of all, every slice is even! YAY! Slice thicknesses can be adjusted easily, too. The suctions on the bottom holds it very securely, which is great, too. The only downside for me, as a lefty, is that I have to look OVER the unit at an awkward angle (hard to explain) to us it MY way. Too bad there isn’t a way to “tweak” it. (I know, I’m hair-splitting) it really is a great gadget that I would highly recommend! I love it!
