Love demablend. Has gotten more expensive since the last time I purchased this. A little goes a long way.

I'll admit it - I've had my fair share of setting powder disasters. You know, the ones that leave you looking cakey, powdery, or just plain weird. I've tried this powder in various lighting conditions, and it always looks flawless. It's like it was made for my skin tone (medium, for reference), and it never oxidizes or changes color throughout the day. I tried the Dermablend foundation with the Dermablend powder combination several years ago, but it always left my face looking caky and dry. Then I discovered the Maybelline mousse foundation and I switched, but I’ve continued using the Dermablend Powder on top of my foundation. It works fairly well for helping my makeup stay put all day, and also for keeping the shine at bay. I pat a generous amount of powder on top of my foundation (with the puff provided), let it settle for a few minutes, and then use a large makeup brush to dust all the loose stuff off. I prefer the translucent powder to the tinted because it helps even out my skin tone really well. It doesn’t clog my pores or cause any breakouts. The issue I have with any powder is that it tends to make my face look, well, powdery. It also makes any fine facial hair stand out – probably most gals over age 50 can relate to this. So what I do after I dust off the powder is to use a hydrating spray (I like Teddie Organics Rose Water). But don’t spray your face directly. Just spray into the air and walk under it, letting the fine mist settle on your face. You’ll be amazed at how smooth and creamy your face will look.

Goes on lightly and shows no color. Stays matte finish.

Evens tone and sets dermablend.

The powder is just OK, I have a bigger problem with the silly little sponge applicator. For $32 I would expect a puff, not this cheap flat thing that doesn't even have a finger hold on it.

When I tell you I've tried near EVERY product on the market.. I've LITERALLY tried near every product on the market for skin with my insane combo skin. I am oily in my T zone and chin. Dry on my cheeks and upper forehead and have Rosacea that is completely out of control. My skin even THINKS that I'm going to use certain products on it.. It just goes on ahead and breaks all the way out. 🤦‍♀️ And tbh, I'm so sick of everyone asking why am I "sunburned" .. I absolutely will NOT tolerate anything heavy on my skin. I do NOT care for that powdered face look.. I'm picky 🤷‍♀️ Anyway.. I've used Dermablend liquid to cover Psoriasis scars over my body many times. (I live in the Sunshine State. We're water/beach people.) I can dab a bit on the scars and hit the beach or throw on a dress and never have to worry about my scars.. its waterproof and covers like magic.. Works AMAZINGLY well! Gives me back my confidence. So I figured if the liquid is THAT good, I'd give this a shot for my face.. I'm so thankful I did. No more odd oily zones.. No drying of the already dry.. No powdered look.. And NO REDNESS!!! I haven't been asked about my "sunburn" since I've been using it.. And last but certainly not least.. My skin is CLEAR! No allergy bumps. No clogged pores. I'm in love and will be using this as long as they keep making it. Excellent product. And a HUGE thank you for giving me this freedom back. I truly appreciate this product.
