WEEMS & PLATHMarine Navigation Compass Chart Weight (Brass)

This compass has been flawless, not sure about the bubble issue... mine has been in Colorado for all these years and has had no bubble formation and looks like new. I would recommend this without reservation.

I've now purchased 3 of these as gifts. Each came in great shape in a beautiful box. None had the issue mentioned in the previous review. I wouldn't be put off by that. 2 were purchased from Amazon, one I purchased directly from Weems & Plath. Beautiful gifts. Great quality for the price.

I've received two defective compasses in a row. The concept of this compass is great... it's a beautiful piece, it's a shame it can't be produced well, with some kind of Quality Assurance. Twice now,I've received two defective compasses with the exact same problem... they've come with a big bubble, and liquid leaking out of them...which is visible on the glass. It's really dissapointing. Amazon has been good about returning them, but you'd think they'd inspect the product before they send it, especially since the previous one was defective. I'm mailing the the second one back today. We'll see if the third one has the same problem! Never imagined this problem with Weems and Plath.

Bought this for a friend that lives on a boat,it was the perfect gift! I was impressed with the quality.

I also had a problem with a bubble developing, over several months after purchase. It's a beautiful piece, and it looks terrible with the fluid half gone.
