This is perfect!! Our pup is 70lbs and LOVES to swim. She is a very good swimmer, however, she doesn’t know when to stop, especially when we are in the water with her. She will keep swimming until she’s exhausted and partially starts to sink and we would have to help hold her up. That is until we got this lifejacket!! Once we put this on her there was a drastic change. She can practically just wade in the water and this will hold her up effortlessly! She swam non stop for hours, even through some waves, and never struggled. I honestly though this was going to be too small just based off of the jacket to body ratio but if it were any bigger it wouldn’t fit her right. This is a great tool to help your pup, even if they are a good swimmer too. This helps mitigate exhaustion, but still allows your pup to kick their legs and swim as if they didn’t have this on. In the event that you do need to hold your dog up in the water, this helps with that as well and makes it much easier to tow them to the shore if needed. We only had to make minor adjustments after her having it on for several hours straight. The top handle is a great feature in the event that you would have to pull your dog out of the water if you were on a boat etc. The bright color is another great feature as it makes it very easy to spot your pup if they are out a little bit far or their coat blends in too much with the water. We took on two beach trips and probably have about 10-15hours of use on it and it’s holding up fine. All in all this was a great purchase. It eases my mind knowing my pup is safe in the water even when she gets a little bit tired. No matter how good of a swimmer your dog is it’s not a bad idea to have this on if they can’t touch the bottom. Enjoy!

Definitely better than expected for the price. We have 2 pups. 11.5lb aussiedoodle and 25lb bernedoodle. Fit was perfect. I did measure both dogs before I ordered. Study buckles. Big enough around their belly. Love the bright colors! Very vibrant

Wow! Here is everything you need to know about this fabulous little life jacket for your fur baby. I have looked at dozens of jackets here on Amazon. I ordered and returned 3 others, this one was my 4 attempt because the first 3 just didn’t work, mostly for sizing in the torso:neck. My dog is a smaller regular dachshund neck 11”, girth 16”, length 18”, 12 lbs. I ordered an XS based mostly on reviews because size charts had been wrong before. For this jacket the chart and reviews were exactly right. XS fits my baby perfectly. The biggest factors are so light weight, padding is quality and buoyant (from what I can tell so far, going to the lake in a couple weeks), lots of adjustment room. The clips and velcro are easy to adjust but stay put once you put them where they need to be. Most importantly to me, this is very wearable for her, she seems comfortable (other than being slightly annoyed) and can move around easily. I’d like her to wear it at all times while out in the yard at the lake house so this will work for extended days wear. Highly recommend for your small dog!!!

Deep chested GSP weighing 60lbs, sz L. Heftier Border collie weighing 50lbs, sz L. This jacket is perfect for dogs who can already swim on their own while participating in activities where a life jacket would be wise. Our GSP and Border Collie can swim independently but for a long day of boating the jacket in yellow/lime provides great high-visibility in a well trafficked area (the most important aspect for us) as well as a reasonable amount of flotation assistance for a long day of swimming. Our Border Collie has a back injury leaving him with weakened hind legs and this jacket works well helping keep his hind end from sinking, keeping his body more in-line. Both dogs seem to like this jacket better than previous jackets as it’s lighter and moves with them more naturally. Some considerations: I don’t think it has as much floatation ability as a traditional foam jacket that we’ve used in the past. I also think they get hotter faster waiting in the sun while launching the boat on a hot day (before they’ve gotten wet), than with a traditional jacket. But once swimming or once wet, I don’t notice this issue at all. There is quite a bit of stretch in the jacket compared to a traditional version, which is great for the dog but makes it a little harder pulling them up out of the water onto a boat or paddle board, however the double handle feature on this jacket makes up for it. And finally, I would strongly recommend fitting the jacket on your dog at home, getting the straps how they should fit, and then tying a knot in each one or tacking them down with a quick thread. Otherwise the straps will loosen throughout the day multiple times. Overall, this will be our new go-to jacket for the boys and I am very happy with the product and the price!

I think this is one of the best dog life jackets at a great price point. I have small 12# dogs. These are secure without being cumbersome or interfering in thier mobility. However, one of my dogs has a deep chest and slime waist. I had to add a tie down from the chest to the belly to keep the belly band from sliding back too far. I think the addition of a Y shaped chest plate would make this product unbeatable in the market.

Great fit and not as bulky as most

The quality of this life jacket is really good. It is very adjustable, and seems to fit well. It runs really small - be aware of that. I ordered a size Large for my 4 month old puppy and while it fits her, it only has a little room for growth.

Absolutely fantastic. This is a smaller footprint and thinner material than the other horrid bulky over the top vests. For the middle of the ocean I would get the bulky longer ones but for paddle boarding this is perfect. This is a Large. She was 2 cm over the large size but this still fits comfortably. Very pleased
