Lifetree Frosted Window Film Privacy, Frosted, 44.5×200 cm

I bought this for my kitchen door and small side window as I detest curtains and blinds and wanted something that would let the morning light in without being just plain glass. I’d previously tried a cheaper abstract pattern windows film, but it was so thin and flimsy and was a nightmare to fit that I binned it. I found this one and loved the pattern so after reading the reviews I bought some. The first thing I noticed was how much thicker it is compared to the cheaper ones. You can feel the difference in quality immediately and the pattern irl is even prettier than the pictures! There is real depth and variation to the design, so it’s very tactile and highlights the detail beautifully. It cuts very well and I would suggest making sure you use a sharp craft knife because you don’t want to drag the film as you’re cutting and make sure you cut it slightly bigger than needed. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and I was really impressed that they included two reusable sticky tabs that you stick to the corner on both sides of the film so it can be easily peeled from the backing plastic. I am not the greatest DIYer, but managed to fit it easily to my windows. Make sure you give the glass a good clean, then spray plenty of water on the glass and fit the film starting at one of the top corners. If you’ve ever fitted a screen protector on your phone - it’s the same principle. Just peel the film backing off slowly as you guide the film into place, then use a squeegee (or in my case - my Tesco clubcard) to get the bubbles out - going from the centre outwards. I found that the clubcard was very good for pushing the film tightly down at the edges and also had the advantage of giving me a perfect guideline for trimming the excess film. A wallpaper scraper would do the trick nicely too. The whole process was really easy and what was boring, plain glass, now looks really beautiful! It honestly looks like new windows and I’ve had so many people asking who did the glazing and they couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was considering its window film! I was so impressed with it that I bought more of it so I could cover my bathroom and en-suite windows - even though they were already frosted glass. They look fantastic now and really make a huge difference. When the sun shines through the window film it refracts the light, making pretty rainbow patterns on my cabinets and walls and at night with the lights on, the film looks gorgeous from outside and prevents people from looking inside. If you want privacy but still want the light to get in I highly recommend this film! It looks so beautiful and classy and you can get the look of brand new glazing without the expense! I have some internal glass doors and I’m planning to buy some more so I can do those too, because it really does transform boring glass and makes it looks wonderful!

Wowser's what a diffrence fitted this yesterday to my kitchen and bathroom windows and there is a huge/massive difference from the heat coming into those rooms, I would say an 80% reduction on the heat. I'm going to order some more to do the 4 x windows in my conservatory. This stuff is so easy to attach to the windows, get yourself a sharp stanley knife/blade and a decent squidgy, also a sturdy measure for cutting straight lines. If I can put this stuff up, so can you. Easy peasy with a bit of lemon squeezy.

All right, I'll give you the negatives first and then go to positives. The glazing comes in a roll with instructions on how to install it, but you'll need to figure out how to cut it accurately. First of all, obviously, it's a big sheet of material and you need to have either a big desk available or a clean floor. My floor is covered in cat hair, so not ideal, but I hoovered beforehand. Also, make sure you have a long ruler or something of the sort to measure and line with. Get a permanent marker to mark how you will cut it - instructions, I think, suggest pen or pencil, but these will barely show up on the plastic. Secondly, be as precise as possible and make sure you cut at right angles. Perhaps cut the material a bit wider and longer than your actual window - you can always trim it. I struggled for at least an hour with two windows, lining up the film with the sides according to instructions and over and over, but I couldn't get it to line up exactly. Eventually, I don't know how, I managed a satisfactory coverage of the window, but it wasn't perfect and I had to trim a bit of material off the top while the bottom remained with an asymmetrical gap that's about 1cm at its widest part. Third, be ready to experiment with how much water you spray on the window to adhere the film to it. I have tried very hard to smooth it down as much as possible, but there are still air pockets underneath. They are not hugely noticeable and they don't bother me, but if you're a perfectionist about these things, they might, so keep that in mind. On the positive side, I am overall quite pleased with what we've ended up with (though it took work!). The film does its job very nicely and obscures us from view from the street no matter what the time of day and it looks perfectly fine from outside and inside. We've had it on the windows for a couple of months now and it has never even started to peel off nor move around on the glass. All in all, it has given us exactly what we wanted, it just didn't turn out as neat as I had hoped. If you don't mind putting in a bit of elbow grease to put it up, I would recommend the product and I reckon the value for money is pretty good!

A really effective privacy film that works brilliantly during the day. It gives a nice mirror effect from the outside while still letting plenty of light in from inside. Application takes a bit of patience but is manageable with a bit of care and the instructions are clear enough. It has also noticeably reduced the heat coming through the glass on sunny days which is a bonus.

Keeps falling off the window unlike the lifetree brand I bought from another Amazon seller even after applying it 5 different ways a complete waste of money, I believe this isn’t life tree

This was a great price, well packaged and quickly delivered . It does take quite a lot of practice to fit correctly without any bubbles or issues. The videos on line makes it look so easy. Once fitted correctly it does look good.

I’m just now applying my window film. I bought this in 2024. I impressed with the production.Good price. Clear instructions and the extras for easy installation . It’s perfect you can’t see me from outside. I like silver as it goes well with my colours. The finished product looks great.

I bought the Lifetree One Way Clear Window Film (Silver, 60 x 200cm) for my caravan, and it has been an absolute game-changer. One side of my caravan gets hit with full, intense sun from early afternoon right through until the evening. The heat and brightness used to be unbearable. I put this film up yesterday, and the difference is already night and day. It is amazing how effectively it stops the blinding glare and cuts down the sun's intensity.

Funktioniert super, Zuschneiden und Anbringen hat an sich unkompliziert funktioniert - nur eines muss man wissen, die Folie zieht sich nach den Abziehen der rückseitigen Schutzfolie um mehrere Millimeter zusammen. Daher hatten wir beim ersten (exakt zugeschnittenen) Versuch leider Lichtspalte. Die nächste Folie (im Foto die obere) haben wir mit einer Zugabe von ca. 4 mm zugeschnitten, das hat geklappt. Vielleicht nützt der Tip jemand anderem, denn wir mussten nun leider noch eine Folie bestellen, weil wir es gern ganz dunkel hätten.

Adesione ottima (anche se c'è un po' da lavorare di spatola per dissolvere le bolle), blocco totale della luce. Prezzo onesto. Non si poteva chiedere di più.

On l'a mis sur notre porte d'entrée pour nous préserver des regards sans pour autant nous priver de la luminosité. Très résistant, joli rendu. Nous l'avons installée en janvier 2018 et rien n'a bougé donc au top !
