I need to be honest, I had really low expectations on this product but it deserves 5stars for sure. I started using the product in my second day and it totally dried my cold sore out in hours. IT DIDN’T DISAPPEAR my cold sore, but it was completely dry by the day after I started using it. Im still healing but It makes you skip a lot of discomfort, pain and the wet weird part. 100% recommend from my experience. Also Arrived on time and package was good.

This really works, its safe, very effective, doesn't irritate the skin, and last a long time as you just need a small drop, the bottle is very small but trust me it's worth the money

I felt the lip tingling and immediately ordered some of this because I had a trip coming up and didn't want a cold sore. It was supposed to be here the next day, but in true Amazon fashion, it was a couple of days late, and my sore was full-blown, the worst I've had in a really long time, by the time I received the Releev product. This did nothing for it at that point. Still have it and will apply at first tingle the next time one of these comes up, and if it works, I'll update my review. **UPDATE** So, the next time I felt the tingle, I immediately started using this, and it healed what was going to be a cold sore in under 24 hours! I used it a few times before bed and once the next day, and it was over. It stopped the progression immediately. I am blown away by how well this worked. I keep it with me at all times now. Totally worth the price tag.

Releev is the only product that helps when I get a cold sore.

I have been using Releev for over 25 years... I found it by accident at my local Walmart... when I went to buy cold sore medicine... It works fast and it's easy to apply I even use it on chapped lips... It's the only thing I'll use... I have recommended it to other people and they feel the same way.

This product works really well but don't expect miracles. what it does- I will tell you how it works meaning what it does at least for me and cold sores on my lip. Untreated- When I get a cold sore it (stage 1) starts as a tiny little bump that gets more painful and bigger as time goes on. Finally it sort of scabs and (stage 2) bursts into a bloody circle some days later. After this, it will (stage 3) not scab up or dry up for a long time so you spend a few days walking around with blood on your face. If you try chapstick or lip gloss any time after stage 1 in the process it makes your skin softer and worsens the problem as the bursting happens a lot easier and sooner as well as over a larger area. Treated- put this Releev stuff on a couple of times at stage 1 and it will try to dry up the bump making it sort of tough and crusty (it will dry the rest of your lip too). The bump will not be scabbed but be tough...and crusty...sort of....dried out I guess you could say. People will think you have chapped lips, which is pretty good compared to the alternative. Depending on the size of the bump you may get slight scabbing over time. The action happening underneath has trouble breaking through the tough outer lip surface, minimizing or preventing stage 2 and 3. You can use a small amount of lip gloss to keep the dryness at bay if you cannot help yourself and it seems to not be that detrimental (there is a "herp stop" type of gloss that I recently got seems ok). If you get a scab on your lip do not try and remove it for as long as you can hold out, as there may be a bloody welt below it. Should you miss applying at stage 1 and instead put Releev on a little late at stage 2 or 3, it will dry up the lip outer surface and let it scab and heal faster. So still not bad. The big question is - if you put it on early in stage 1 can you stop stage 2? The answer is - most of the time. Sometimes I get to stage 2 but its not as big of a deal as it would be otherwise. So not a perfect solution but works well. Definitely the best thing out there right now except for a Valtrex prescription. The Abreva product seems to be trying to dry the lip as well...but also seems a little glossy too. It does not work nearly as good (for me) but it is better than nothing. I have gone through quite a bit of this product and Abreeva and Valtrex over the years and I thought people out there needed some type of description of what actually happens when you apply this. So there you have it.

This stuff actually works

I’ve tried anything and EVERYTHING for cold sores. This saved me when I got sunburn and started to get FOUR cold sores at the same time, a week before I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. I have a pretty good routine for shortening them already, but I was desperate and decided to give this a try. I got it after I already had them so I didn’t have high hopes but WOW. I have purchased multiple bottles now to keep on my nightstand, in my purse, in my car, and at work. I cannot live without it now!

Great product

The best thing I’ve found to treat a cold sore. Clears it up in a couple of days. I can’t buy it in Canada so was pleased I could order it from the US. It actually arrived a week or so before the delivery date promised.

Works great if you catch the cold sore early enough. Definitely helps to keep your lip painfree and moisturized if you can’t prevent it.

I read all the reviews and I was SO excited to try it. It doesn't make a bit of difference. $30 down the drain. :(
