I have a dozen knives of various types and sizes and most are folders. They get dirty, of course, and keeping them clean and maintained is the key to a lifetime of use. This kit provides what you need to do that maintenance. Kit includes KPL lube for the knife pivots, half a dozen sticks with bristles for getting to those hard to reach spots, a polishing cloth, and some threadlock should you remove the pivot screw. The KPL lube bottle is small but a little drop goes a long way here. Blade action is much nicer and smoother than with the previous lube I was using and this lube doesn't seem to pick up dirt and dust as easily. Overall recommended.

Initially, I used it to clean the opening mechanism of an old buck knife. This worked perfectly: it went from slow and gritty to fast and clean. The oil is highly effective at cleaning, and the swabs allow you to reach the smallest and most intricate parts.

If you are into keeping your knifes up to date and taking care of them this dose the job great I've had it for about six months now and they do amazing job keeping my knifes clean

These are excellent for getting dirt and junk from small, tight spaces on knives. They have many applications to serve the same purpose but and excellent product.

I've had a tiny collection of folding pocketknives that were just sitting in a drawer because they weren't working very well any more. Not being able to get a Q-tip far enough into the riveted ones, and a piece of paper towel or kleenex with the tip of a flat screwdriver led me to purchase something else. With a bit of KPL Knife Shield and these swabs they are all back in action. Not only that, the drawer is now empty of knives (5-6 of them) and the swab doesn't seem to have lost anything. Wiped it clean with a kleenex and it's ready for the next use.

Perfect little kit

Taking pride in your edc collection and keeping them performing at their peak takes maintenance. This little kit gives you all the essentials to do just that. A great pivot lube with a precision tip for minimal waste and cleanup. The cleaning rods are on point to get into those hard to reach places plus the addition of the screw lock is a must for well used and abused knives. I've used them all and would recommend d this kit for avid edc guys and beginners alike. Added bonus who don't like decals!

These MicroFiber swabs are just what I needed to get into the smaller spaces of my knife. The fact that these are micro fiber rather than cotton means no material gets left behind, leaving everything clean and friction free. They can be washed and reused. Indispensable in your knife cleaning kit. I use them on all my knives, big and small.

This kpl is a little thinner then I'd prefer but does a good job. Lock tight is not as sticky as if like bland I did let it cure. Maybe the amount I applied wasn't enough but it seemed to be reasonable to me. So I will need further testing to give a more accurate description.
