Cleaning is straightforward, and the entire unit feels hygienic when properly maintained. For the price, I believe it offers excellent value. There's really nothing I can add to all the one and two star reviews. The box it came in was torn and open. There's no instruction as how to put it together (although it's more or less self-explaining). It's quite flimsey and if you try to lift the lid it will slip out of your fingers and most likely drop into the pot. The seat and the lid to the pot don't close properly so it will need a cover over it to stop any smell. It's quite low, so only for those with nimble limbs and kids. I'm still trying to figure out what the extra bit of plastic is that is part of the contraption. From the description of a similar camping toilet (not Hillingdon!) I learned that it is supposed to be a 'splash guard'. What and how is unclear as it doesn't seem to fit anywhere. Why did I give it 5 stars ? Basically for those who only read the 5 star reviews and may think of the one- star-ones as moaning. But if all you want is a bucket with a seat, this is the one. Expensive bucket though....

I bought this for camping, but it’s also been a lifesaver during house renovations. My only criticism is that it’s a little bit bulky if you’re short of space in your car, van or tent, but otherwise it’s great. Very sturdy and easy to decant and clean.

Easy to put together, and perfect for occasional use whilst the council are in refitting my bathroom and toilet. It fits nicely in my cubicle shed in the garden. For £20, it's a bargain!

Easy to assemble. Good size. Sturdy. Lightweight.

It's a really useful product. The only downside is that it counts with no assembly instructions and there is nothing online either so had to work it out for myself. Otherwise really great sturdy product. A bit too low but otherwise useable when cabling or when one is caught short! If it came with assembly instructions i would have give a 5 star.

I live in an old cottage with no upstairs loo and I was worried about falling down the fairly narrow stairs at night. This, coupled with the fact I wear glasses and sometimes take sleeping pills, is not a safe combination. I'm not that old but I am accident prone and although I thought my teenage kids would laugh, they actually think my new loo is a great idea. I found the seat very difficult to attach and had to use a screwdriver to push the plastic in with someone else's help. There was also a black plastic insert of some description that I couldn't find a use for but that aside it's a smart little loo. I bought the 'chem' treatment and put some in the bucket with water. It'll be trial and error with the quantities but it's all set to go. It is not unsteady at all, in fact you feel very safe and secure using it. I will buy a throw or large scarf to disguise it and it will look like a little table in the corner of my bedroom. I cannot believe this 'perfect solution' was only twenty quid. It's a bargain and one of my most useful purchases to date.

This is perfect as a second toilet. I sprained my ankle & found it difficult going up & down stairs to the toilet. It’s sturdy yet lightweight. Easy to clean. Will also be handy during those summer bbqs when family come over.
