Great drop in replacement module. Works better than the original
We have a 30 year old Jenn Air range, Model S160 range. The top surface has two "modules" which can be swapped out with other attachments. We have the "grill" and rotisserie attachments which my mother bought at the time of purchase of the range. I don't think they were every used, and are still sitting in the box. The top coil type burner unit failed after 30 years, and many cooked meals. I started looking for a replacement one, and found an exact match, for a brand new module (Jenn Air calls them "cartridges", and ordered one. The other side was a flat top, and that failed a few weeks after the coils. Unfortunately, I could not find an exact replacement for that cartridge. I was not sure if this module would fit, but the pin-out was similar, so I thought I would give it a try. This is a radiant heat type of cook top. I plugged it in, and it worked right off the bat! This is much easier to clean up as compared to the coil type. If I had know earlier, I would have replaced both with this radiant heat cartridge. This is a testament to the Jenn Air brand, that they still make original replacement parts, that fit their old appliances. Also kudos to them for making the newer type of cartridges backward compatible with older ranges. As an aside, Jenn-Air is now owned by Maytag, and so if you have trouble finding Jenn-Air parts, look under Maytag.

Fits My Old Cooktop
We bought a 30 year old home that had a Jenn-Air cooktop, with a glass cooktop on one side and the grill on the other. Even though the plug in on this one didnโt match perfectly, we decided to take a chance. Happily, we plugged it in and it worked! One piece of advice. We didnโt like that the two sides didnโt match (see white cooktop in pic), so I decided to order another. I wanted to save a little money, so I ordered a โlike newโ that said only the box was damaged. Not true - the cooktop clearly had 5 smudge marks on it (see second pic) where something had damaged the top. So donโt be cheap and buy the new one. You wonโt be disappointed!

Great upgrade to our JennAir
I ordered 2 modules to replace my existing A100 coil burners which were original equipment on our 26 year old JennAir slide in range. The modules were well packaged and arrived with no problems. Just plugged them in and we were good to go. We were tired of cleaning the burner pans and the modules. The new radiant panels are easy to wipe down to clean. They look great and update our range. The new panels heat up faster but turn off when they reach temperature and cycle on and off to keep the set temp. Just took getting used to. Great overall upgrade.

Jenn Air cartridge
My stove is from 1982, replaced the cartridge bc one of the burners on the old one stopped working. Works great, looks great only thing is I replaced the same cartridge 9 years ago a bc and hopefully this one will last longer. They donโt make things to last like they used to, the original 1982 cartridges were coiled ones and they still work but the flat plate ones look more modern and instantly update the stovetop. Incidentally, the price for theses cartridges has doubled since 8 years ago on most sites but amazon was less than those so a better buy.

Perfect fit.
It's amazing in this era of plastic appliances to find legitimate replacements for a 42 year old Jenn Air cooktop. Thanks, Whirlpool and Jenn Air. On the other side this brand new part had many small scratches on the underside. I think it may have been poorly handled during packaging. I am not going to go thru the hassle of replacing it.

Nice replacement product
We have an older JennAir electric cooktop and the left side was a grate for grilling. We have an outdoor grill and never use the indoor grilling feature. I found this unit unexpectedly and, after researching the specs, felt that I could take a chance on it. I am very pleased with the unit. It matched the connection perfectly and was a simple drop-in installation! I now have 4 burners!! Super happy!

A little smaller than the older cast iron units, but still great for Model 22401.
19 1/16 in. x 10 9/16 in. are the actual dimensions of the length and the width. I don't at all understand the dimensions given in the Product Description. Since Amazon has such a great return policy, I ordered it anyway based on the picture of the unit and the style of the electrical connection. My unit has on its metal tag, "Model 2240181" with no spaces. I learned later that the "81" is an engineering code, and I actually have a Model 22401. However, it's old enough that I didn't easily confirm that this cartridge is compatible, but again, the picture and the electrical connection looked good. As it turned out, this unit is about a half inch shorter in length and width than the older cast iron cartridge I was replacing. This means, it's a quarter inch smaller on all sides. The older cartridge had caused some scratching at the perimeter, but after some cleaning and shining, the half-inch on all sides that the older cartridge covered, looks fine. You also might be interested in hearing of my experience with the Jenn-Air customer service. As I said, the metal tag on my Jenn-Air says "Model 2240181." I also needed to buy a control switch, also called an infinite switch. The smaller element was stuck on high. That didn't bother us with the older cartridge, since we didn't use that element often. Now, with the new cartridge, we wanted to use both. I contacted Jenn-Air's support via Live Chat on the Internet. The lady was very polite, but of no help. She could not find Model 2240181 anywhere in their system. She gave me a telephone number for a company they recommended for parts. I called and they also were no help. They tried, had me on hold while they researched it, and again on hold while they researched it some more. They could not find Model 2240181. They were fairly convinced that I was looking in the wrong place for the model number. She suggested that I must be looking on the blower motor. So, I did an Internet search and found the switch that the site said was compatible, but it was for "Model 22401." I contacted Jenn-Air again via Live Chat and got a different representative. He seemed to be more knowledgeable. He told me that the "81" at the end of my model number was probably an engineering code, and that I did have a Model 22401. We are very happy with the cartridge and may buy another to replace another cast iron cartridge.

It Fit!
Success!! It works! My Jenn-Air range is 31 years old and parts have been โdiscontinued,โ so I took a chance that this unit would fit and it did! Thank you!

Genuine Jenn-Aire parts
I have used a downdraft Jenn-Aire grille for in excess of 2 decades. This is my second cook-top. I researched gas downdraft vs the electric model I have. There has been a buzz about natural gas cooking in medical literature over the last couple years and I knew the gas unit does not deliver as many calories of heat. Decision made. Get a new Jenn-Aire cartridge. Called local appliance specialists. "Not made any more". I know more of Jenn-Aire and Whirlpool Corp than them!! Logged into Amazon.ca and found Botley Store had the real McCoy. As of this minute that cartridge has delivered Jenn-Aire service. Thank you Botely Store, Thank you Amazon.ca I have taken the time to outline as I did for I think this is a good education for others who are faced with a similar situation.

Yes, this works with your 20/30/40 year old Jenn Air
My mother loves her forty year old Jenn Air range, but one side has been dead for 20 years, and the remaining side takes forever to heat up. I took a gamble on this (I was pretty sure it was correct) and boy is she happy. She was adamant there was no possibility of ever getting a replacement.

drop-in cartridge works perfectly
We have a 30-year old jenn-air downdraft with 2 spots for drop-in cartridges. We seldom used the grill or the griddle plate, and the fact that the noisy fan always came on was an irritation when you used them, and occasionally we needed 3 or 4 burners. We just removed the plug in grill element and metal "briquets" and the cooktop cartridge fit in perfectly to the 5-prong socket. It only has 4 prongs - 3 blades for burners and 1 ground. And presto - the downdraft fan only works with the switch - just what we wanted! So far cartridge works great - its pricy, but its a Jenn-air ... !

Saved me thousands.
Easy plug in and use. Replaced the old Jennaire coiled burners and gave my stovetop many more years of use.
