Is it microwave safe?

"The recommendation straight from Blender Bottle is: "While the plastics used in BlenderBottle products are safe, microwaving is strongly discouraged. The leak-proof seal can allow pressure to build up inside the bottle/jars when heating, causing the lids or flip caps to open unexpectedly and spray contents."

Can you lock the lid open to drink from the cup, or do you have to hold the spout cover open while you drink from it?

There's no lock to keep the lid open, but once you flip the lid open and push it back, it stays there without you needing to hold it. This is awesome, I now own three ;)

Can this go in the freezer? I want to make my smoothies and put them in the freezer overnight.

Generally, we do not recommend freezing BlenderBottle® brand shaker cups. Like most plastic bottles, our shaker cups may become brittle and more susceptible to cracking or breaking when frozen. If you decide to freeze the contents, please make sure to leave room at the top, as well as the flip cap open, for the contents to expand.
