Large Drive for Small File Management
If you're looking for a way to constantly and quickly transfer gigabyte-sized files between two computers, this drive may not be for you. As other reviewers have noted, this drive is not the fastest. With that in mind this isn't a terrible device as long as usage expectations for the speed it provides are reasonable. Speeds are relative to the machine you are using, how many USB devices are exchanging data at the same time, and hard drive speed. The 32 GB version of this drive gives me a transfer speed of about 5 MB a second. For me, this means it can receive a standard Dual-Layer DVD amount (~8.4 GB) of information in about 25 minutes, which is about as long as it takes to back up a DVD to my hard drive. Not too bad, but this is only half as fast as a smaller jump drive I own. Like I said, it isn't the quickest.I believe this drive would be more than enough when used for certain applications. For instance, this drive would be a great choice if used to sync a large quantity of small files (documents, MP3s, etc.) between two computers, where maybe only a couple hundred files are actually changed at any time. It can also be used in a similar way as backup storage. This product is a well, not a fire-hose. If small data transfers from a larger pool are your thing, the data rate is negligible, so there is no reason to pay more for a drive with faster transfer speeds. If you are dealing with large files, this drive may frustrate you.Aside from that, I have had no problems with the device. The protective shield isn't the greatest, though. There is little room to hold the base as the cover slides down. It also takes a bit of a pinch to get a grip (and it feels flimsy), and the force needed to slide it may cause you to bump your fingers and possible cut yourself if you have longer nails.

Good value for the money
I've owned several flash drives over the year. This 64GB version is my latest addition. Mine work fine with absolutely no issue. Unless you're pushing the drive to transfer to its limit with huge multiple files I think most people will be satisfied with the transfer speed. Build quality is okay; definitely not to the level of my 32gb Corsair Flash Voyager flash drives (which is built like tank) but then Corsair cost much more than Lexar.Unless you're going to use your flash drive in adverse environment I would say Lexar 64gb will be more than up to the task for daily use.

Good price for high capacity but protective sliding cover sucks
This is a nice high capacity drive for the price ($35 on special).I didn't find the speed to be a problem, I have used smaller capacity brand-name flash drives which were really slow, and it did not seem any slower than some of the other high capacity flash drives I use.My main problem is with the protective sliding cover. It seems flimsy, unlike other USB flash drives where the USB connector slides into the shell of the flash drive itself.

usefull, but the cap is not practical
the size of this drive makes an excelent choice for portable data, but the only fault that i found is the cap, most of the people who use this drive the first time, tend to pull of the cap (but not me XD ), so you have tell them how to use it right, the cap need to be pulled down... you know, people dont read instructions most of the time. Other than that, im satisfied with the product =)

There's loads of room for a good price. The only thing that makes me nervous ...
This flash drive has performed very well for me. There's loads of room for a good price. The only thing that makes me nervous is how open the connector part is. There is a cover that slides over it. It looks cool, but leaves the actual connecting part wide open for lint or other junk to get lodged in. So far no problems at all.

Burned twice, not nice.
I got one of these when on sale back in December 2011. Less than 30 days later - DEAD (and HOT). So I got a replacement for it (exchange/warranty), and have used it from Feb - last week, when it died. I'm not that hard on USB storage and have various sticks from different Mfg. but perhaps I've been lucky that none have ever failed on me before (and I have at least a half dozen over 4 years old), or maybe this model isn't the greatest in the world. I'd buy something else.

Slowest Lexar I've Ever Owned
I own several Lexar's (each a different 32 gb model), & have come to hold them in high regard. This is the slowest one I have ever owned, it took almost 2 hours to transfer around 25 gb on a USB 2 connection.I use them for music playback, so don't know yet how this will perform on reads & longevity, but with this write speed, I will be hesutant to buy this model again.Good price for a Lexar, though (maybe due to the speed!)

great gift
I purchased this as a gift. It was on sale for a very decent price. I don't think i would pay the list price for it, but the sale price was under $20 so it was worth that. I would purchase again as a gift when looking for an under $20 gift. It's a functional, helpful gift.

Did the job
I got this in the mail. My first time buying a usb flash drive and it was easy to use and did the job. Stores a lot and I really like the brand Lexar. I have had other usb flash drives given to me but Lexar makes the best and I loved the colour. Simple and easy. Seller was great and let me know everything about it before I ordered
