The camera quality is very good, it’s clear and good colour. There is action tracking. Motion detection too. The sound is good a bit of a lag if using in the same room (testing). And feedback if too close but for its proper use, a good baby monitor. The sound at babies end is good no crackles or hiss. There are ‘lullaby’s ‘. But I only found wildlife and water. The manual implies my camera needs to be powered but all leads and USB cables plus plugs supplied. The handheld screen is able to be used cordless. Also has all its charging equipment supplied. Easy to use. I didn’t need to log into anything to use it. The manual implies I can set a password for security.

This is pretty good. Generally pretty impressed with it. It does have a pretty good range and I've tested it even through a few brick walls which is quite impressive. The connectivity overall seems solid. The screen and camera quality is quite clear, really been quite impressed by that. Being able to view it on your phone on the app is a really nice feature. It means that multiple people can use it without having to use the attached controls. Although I still find that the physical controls is a much better interface most of the time as you can pick it up and carry it around while you're using your phone for other things, still, useful functionality to have. The thing that I considered marking it down for is you can't actually unpair it from your account once you've used it which presumably is just to limit the second hand market. You can send a request to unpair it but I don't think they have any obligation to honour it. It's certainly unnecessary friction, but it might be that they do unpair when you request, so I didn't want to mark them down for that. Overall it's pretty good value and good quality device with more features than I can list in a review here.

We have a second baby and therefore a need for an additional baby monitor, so we ordered this to try out in the nursery. First of all, this was really easy to set up. You can connect this to the app and can have 5 family members connected to the app as well, this is nice for grandparents or partners etc. to keep an eye on the baby as well. The video quality is another great feature of this baby monitor, even at night you can see in colour and the detail - it's so handy to see what's exactly going on. You can zoom into your baby, as if you were anything like me, I like to see my baby breathing at night especially when they haven't made any noise or movements in a little while! On a full charge, the monitor lasted us the whole night and most of the following day for naps. The monitor has cry detection where the monitor switches on to alert you of the baby crying, it also does the same for motion. I did initially like the idea of the 2 way talking, but I used it once and my baby freaked out so I haven't used this since. My speech was super clear though. The feeding alarms was really handy as well, especially in the early weeks. Although you are able to view the footage, you can't save any videos unless you pay extra for this feature, which is fine as we didn't really need this, I suppose it would be for grandparents or close family who wanted extra videos etc. at a guess. The only other issue we found with this monitor, was the initial placement of the camera - if it was too far away from our router it started lagging a little, so we got an extender and we haven't had that issue since. Overall, this is a great baby monitor for the price. It's got great image quality and decent battery life. The features are a go-to in our home (other than the lullabies and 2-way voice), and would recommend.

The range is very generous too; I can move about the house or even step into the garden without losing connection. Security feels well thought out, with AES encryption and the option to switch Wi-Fi off completely for local-only use. Storage flexibility is good too - you can use an SD card or opt for cloud if you want event playback. Overall, this is a solid choice if you want a reliable monitor with premium features. It’s easy to set up, very parent-friendly, and gives real reassurance that your baby is safe, whether you’re in the next room or out in the garden.

Broke after 3 months of using it

Setup was simple and didn’t take much time at all. The instructions were easy to follow and pairing with the app just worked. The five-inch HD screen makes it comfortable to check on my baby from across the room, and the video is really sharp day and night. The camera pans and tilts smoothly with just a tap, so I can follow all the action or zoom in behind the cot when I need to. The notifications for crying and movement always come through quickly on my phone, which has helped me catch early wake ups before full-on tears. Night vision means I’m not squinting or turning on extra lights after dark, and the battery lasts overnight with some power left. I also use the two-way talk feature so my voice can calm the baby without me rushing to the nursery every time. My partner and I both have access to the feed, so we can keep an eye on things no matter who’s home. The app is clean and lets us adjust alerts and camera positions easily. With privacy features and strong range, I never worry about signal dropping or anyone else accessing the footage. Overall, I feel much more relaxed and focused knowing I’ve got a clear and reliable monitor on my side.

This is a great camera setup. Set up is very straightforward. The camera quality is very good, with a very clear display. The connectivity is very good, it works throughout my house and garden. It looks very well built.

This camera has a great tracking function that makes this a nice hands free experience. I do prefer using the monitor over my phone because of the stand. However, being able to see what's happening at home on my phone when I'm at work is really cool. The quality is very clear and the connection has been solid for the most part. I charge this daily and I have not had the battery turn off at any point, so it does last for most of the day.

In the box: Two chargers 1.5A, one camera, one display unit. Charge both. Camera will need the charger/power supply wire remain connected; the display can be separated (needed for portability). Long press the power button on the display till it lights up. Don’t be shy. Keep it pressed – it is a longer press than most other equipment – keeps accidental presses under check? Camera and display come “pre-paired” from the factory. Clean crisp display. See the Quick Set up Guide and the part of manual in your language to identify button names and locations of buttons and other parts. Click the Menu button. Move the direction arrow buttons to go into menus and make your choices. Nothing complicated. Want the display on the phone too? No problem. Both phone and portable display can display the same view simultaneously. I went through the easy to read and understand Quick Start Guide and the manual. In less than five minutes, I was registered on the App, gave it permissions, and had the display on both my phone and the portable display unit. The camera can also be hung on the wall, like a wall clock. The part I liked most (too many features to like, BTW), was that the camera moved to follow me – where I moved, the camera kept me in the view. The lullabies and the nature sounds were nice too! The air-conditioning was off today. I kept on getting high temperature notifications over my phone a mile away from the home office where I had set up this to test. Too many features to list. Lots of features to like. If I find something that could be added (for example, a request to the manufacturer/seller), I will come back here. Great aid to keep an eye on the baby, to step away while the baby rests. Pleased!

The Dr.Care VistaView Smart WiFi Baby Monitor is really well made and the build quality is top notch. The setup was quick and easy enough for anyone to do. The manual does a good job of explaining how to use the device. The set comes with USB wall adapters and cables for both of the devices but you may want a longer cable if you intend to wall mount the camera. The picture quality is very clear, even in low light, and the 2k resolution is more than enough for a display this size. The display controls can pan the camera so you can see the whole crib and even the surrounding area of the nursery. The display screen is solid and feels great, the buttons all seem to be well made and responsive. I was impressed by the audio sensitivity, you can hear every soft coo and hiccup and it doesn’t pick up unnecessary background noise. The two-way talk feature is nice. The signal strength was enough that I was able to receive it from everywhere in my house, but it will be different depending on your house size. Pros: - Clear HD video, even at night. - Smooth camera movement and wide coverage. - Sensitive, clear audio. - Stable connection with encryption for security. - Two-way talk feature. - Mounting holes on the bottom of the camera. Cons: - The app is decent but not really needed (Using the screen does not need wifi). Overall this is a well made baby monitor. It seems to be in the right price range for it's features, it's a much better value if you can get it on sale.
