Very well made. Makes a nice tight connection. Clearly an isolated ground. No ground return through white wire. Prevents ground loops and therefore will eliminate 60hz hum or a harmonic of that cycle in most cases that occur in AV-stereo systems. I wanted to explain something to him that could be handed to him so he could see for himself. No misunderstanding the standard that I wanted met when he installed another set of 3/20 amp circuits for my equipment. He installed 12 plugs in ivory (not orange) that were essentially the same as this hospital outlet. Cheaper to have him buy this through local distributor. I had a hunch a hospital plug would set the highest standard. By showing it to him, a layman like me need not explain it.

I purchased this to change out a single outlet socket that was for under cabinet microwave. I went overboard because I plan to remove microwave and use an oven hood vent and use the other socket for under cabinet led lighting. I have it connected to a 20 amp fuse the correct wiring. so its over kill but works great. I would have chosen the white one but did not want to pay so much money for it. Orange doesn't bother me because it inside the cabinet above the stove and I rarely open that cabinet. I will add pictures when I get a chance

these have the build quality of what is advertised and sold as "audiophile" grade plugs for a fraction of the price.i have 2 twenty amp breakers in my electrical panel wired directly to these which power my hi-fi. it's the way go without breaking the bank if you are considering such an upgrade.

orange color.... heavy duty 20 amp outlet... it works for the single any unit that requires a 20 amp outlet.... 12/2 wire is minimum...

Copper contacts, high quality and excellent clamping force. Great outlet, great quality.Small thing but the side terminal screws are "floating" and push back in as you touch them with the wires, you have to hold them out to prevent them from retracting so you can insert the wire underneath. I only had 2 to install so fiddling with them did not bother me but is I was an electrician I would not install them all day long.All in all I will buy more of these if I need some for my HiFi system.
