Long battery life
I chose this battery because of the 300mAh level. I was hoping for improved battery life. I have used it twice while playing an 18 hole round. The gps battery indicator showed I only used half of the battery life. Very pleased with this battery so far. It did not come with the installation tools, like some of its competition. Have to be cautious opening the case, I used a guitar pick to prevent damage. Otherwise, easy install.

Not for use in a VS4
Purchase this for a VS4. As others have noted, it doesn’t fit - the replacement battery is too thick. I removed the blue wrapper on the battery and the cover still wouldn’t close completely. I charged it anyways and used it today. It would not operate beyond 7 holes.

Batteries are a Bit Too Fat.
The batteries are a little too thick for the Golf Buddy to close correctly. Another brand may be a little thinner and work better. On the plus side, the batteries are great for holding a charge and perform correctly. I have two (I got the spare from my wife after she got one for her wrist) and have glued both of them with Elmer's Super Glue and clamped them for a while with large binder clips (yep, they work for things other than paper). 👍 😃
