I ordered this as I had discovered through my son,Thai yellow curry from a local takeaway which was delicious, however I didn't want to buy lots of takeaways as I wanted to know what was in them. My son pointed out there is a high salt content but when broken down into portion sizes it probably works out to be around half a teaspoon per portion, probably still a bit high but as a treat every few weeks it should be fine. I made up the sauce but I got my proportions wrong, so I opened up another can of coconut milk and then bit by bit added the previous sauce I had made along with some sugar, it has turned out amazing, lovely flavours and a perfect heat to it. I definitely recommend it but add a little paste at a time until you find your own perfect sauce, and don't rush into putting loads of paste in like I did. It's very easy to use and potentially can make a quick meal once you know your proportions.

We always get this curry paste. It’s healthier than most powders and pastes out there. Lasts for months and tastes great with none of the nasty ingredients of supermarket brands.. can be as spicy or as mild as you make it.. we usually put 1 tea spoon in for 4 people and it’s perfect!

I enjoyed this curry (I made it with coconut milk, beef, onion and peppers) but I found that it was not hot enough for my liking and so added an additional teaspoon of paste (making three heaped teaspoons in total). This brought the spiciness level up, but also made the curry pretty salty. This was alright for me as I like salty food (although I wouldn't be eating it regularly because I wouldn't want to consume THAT much salt on a regular basis) BUT my friend said that it verged upon being TOO salty for her liking. Judging by the reviews this seems to be a common theme. Probably not what you want if you're on a low sodium diet. Regardless, I would recommend this paste - but not the red curry one from the same company as I found that to have virtually no flavour other than salt and chilli peppers.

Excellent taste hot paste, melted easily in the pan, very authentic, good colour, if too hot add more yogurt to your taste. Good quality paste, very easy to use. I am entirely happy with this product, also freezable. Recommended

I have been using the yellow, red, green and panang paste, and I love them. These are really good quality and pricing and go a long way with some coconut milk! Great value for the money and taste is fabulous. We never go out for curry any more as my husband says mine is better (thanks to these products). The green is slightly saltier, but I just cut it more with coconut milk. All are very flavorful, and I'm the wrong person to ask about heat level since I always add more heat, even to the ones that say hot. I buy the fresh thai chilis from the market and add them for a really authentic taste. Leakproof packaging is great and the bag inside the plastic containers help open containers last at least 5-6 big pot meals.

Good product to use for Thai curry

Love this stuff! Great flavor and heat. I found a way bigger container at a cheaper price at Chef Store so won’t be buying it here again tho.
