My husband's favorite knife!
This is the second one I bought since my husband was so upset he lost the first one. It's a great little knife. Very smooth and fast when opened. Great size. I've always loved Gerber knives since I was young. Know for their great quality that never disappoints!!

Best pocket knife hands down.

great small, single handed convenience
I love this knife. Very small but handy, inexpensive, and effective. One push on the lock button to free the opening mechanism, then another push to flip the blade open with a spring assist. The blade automatically locks in the open position. Great for opening boxes, carefully slicing plastic packaging, and cleanly breaking tape seals on eIectronics boxes, etc. Then when done slide the button up and fold the blade at the same time - thumb and forefinger with one hand works with a little practice, and relock the button to keep the blade from opening.I have actually purchased 4 of these over the past 10 years since I like it so much. One of them was stiff and hard to operate and returned immediately, but the other 3 I’ve been carrying every day in rotation. Other than sharpening the blade periodically and deciding to remove the clip for personal preferences, all 3 work and look like new. If you put one thru the wash the jumbling can cause the blade to flip open.It may be on the small side but I’ve found the size to always be large enough. Usually it’s just the first half inch I need for the jobs I use this for. What I really love is that this is cheap enough that losing or breaking one isn’t a big financial concern, and then I decided I like it so much I bought extras.Highly recommended if you want a portable, inexpensive but quite functional pocket knife.

My new edc
Just a start this review I'm going to put it out that I am a knife junky and I love my knives. I'll have barely over a hundred knives to my collection and out of all my Assisted Opening knives my favorite are the Gerber Fast Draw and the Kershaw so I was looking to pick up a new everyday carry for my summer attire, when it's hot I wear a lot of Under Armour gym tight shorts things that don't have a belt have a lot of pocket room and a heavy knife is bulky and really weighs down shorts like that. After reading a lot of different views in a couple different web sites I ended up going with this nice and let me tell you I am so glad that I did. I'm a large man with large hands so this knife is small but I'll tell you what it's still fits comfortably in my hand for what I needed to when it's clipped onto the pocket of my cargo shorts I don't even notice it's there and even when I'm wearing like flimsy Under Armour shorts and it's just laying in my left pocket loose I still barely notice it's there it is so light and so small but still retains 100% of its function ability I have the partially serrated one I'm so glad that I did I pulled it out of my pocket and caught a 1 inch dick in my backyard with it like it was nothing it just saw right through it get used every day for just cutting packaging tape to open a box cutting a cord cutting a tag off something you just bought I constantly use this knife it came pretty Sharp but I sharpened it to a surgical razor as soon as I got it I've had it for about 6 months now I use it almost everyday and I've only be sharpened it once and it was just a couple drags through a pocket sharpener and it was back to being a surgical instrument again. It's super easy just a slight movement of your thumb flick the knife right open Lightning Fast and has a nice little safety button on it so if you want to make sure that it's not going to accidentally open it won't. I was at a barbecue a couple months ago and someone had a package All of Me they need to be opened hey you got enough here give them my little Gerber Afflicted open he's cutting open the package you need those holy crap I can't believe how much this thing is,just made me grin. If you're looking for an everyday carry that you don't want to notice that you have on you this is the nice to have not to mention it's backed up with Gerber quality which I still love, I have a lot of knives that are nicer than this one bigger than this one but this is the one I carry every single day year-round now. You can see the pictures I added him before you do I just want to stay then I'm 6 foot 2, 225 pounds in just a big man with big hands and this knife is still very comfortable for me to use. The only time I need a nice bigger than this on me is when I go camping and when I do I have my Buck Bowie on my belt but I still have this clipped to the inside of my left pocket. And head into the durability of it that little clip which is very tight has never gotten loose and is never stretched out this is the only life I've ever owned with a pocket clip that I haven't had to constantly retighten the screws to the clip or eventually the clip just permanently getting stretched out and falling out of my pocket

Disappointing Spring Assist Performance .
First of all the reasons for the good numbers .The knife came decently sharp but was very easy to hone to super sharp .The overall weight is very pocket friendly even with sweats on .Grip is good . I wear XXL gloves so my hands are large but this knife is easy to use . Once opened it's very well balanced when I'm cutting plastic wrap or nylon bands . The serated part is perfect for the string reinforced band I cut frequently at work and the non serated front is just right for the shrink wrap in the bundles .2 hand operation is smooth and positive .There's no nub sticking out to push on the back to help the blade pop out . It has to be done on the front of the knife and the thumb studs are way too high for me to use so I have to push on the blade side until it begins to open then flick it open the rest of the way . Doable but sucks as a quick open method.I'll keep this on my forklift as a backup but I've already ordered a different model by a different maker I also trust that has the nub out the back to I can open it faster with 1 hand while holding the material I'm about to open .

Fits nicely in hand
Light weight. Appears to be of solid build. Good size to handle.

The handiest knife I've ever owned.
I bought one of these years ago when they were 20 bucks. I've still got it, but the spring is messed up..it's probably fixable, so I keep it in a drawer until someday... I replaced it immediatly with an identical knife, but it was almost 30 by then. I misplaced that one last year and the price was up to 50 bucks, but the identical sized model with a little sereated (sp?) Edge was 35, so I grabbed that one..it's great too, but I missed the regular blade, so i grabbed it at 40$ .It's a true one handed knife with a nice little spring assist. Makes a solid CLICK when opening. I use it for everything from slicing a piece of cheese or sharpening a pencil to skinning a deer. Fits perfect in my jeans pocket. The grip is solid , thin and feels great in the hand...I never notice it in my pocket, but I notice it immediately if it's not there..I don't leave home without it. I feel naked when I check it for air travel. Great little pocket knife .
