Men's Expedition Field 36mm Watch

A little small for what I like, but it feels great, works amazing, and is fully functioning.

This Timex is an excellent field type watch, perfect size and keeps perfect time... Good looking watch too!

I was on the search for a “new” watch, since the one I have is a little flashy. I’ve looked for watches off and on until this one appeared. I’ve wanted to get a “quality” watch such as Seiko, Miller etc not luxurious watch but a quality watch. Many of those decent quality watches just seem priced higher than I want to pay for an everyday out in the world watch. For $50 or so depending on sales etc I picked this TimeX Expedition up. I’m not disappointed it does what it is supposed to do and that is tell the time. It’s not a statement piece or flashy wrist whore screaming for attention. It’s a simple proven watch that may “lack” in some areas but is a worthwhile daily driver that doesn’t disappoint. I give the watch a 3.8 out of 5, If it was made in America, had slightly better water resistance (Expedition model), and used sapphire instead of a mineral crystal easy 4.4 stars. When it’s all said and done this watch is a buy if you’re looking to add a daily driver that can get dirty / roughed up.

Just received this watch. Contrary to other reviews I like the smaller size. The hands are white as is the face but the hands are outlined in black to make them easy to see. I have a small wrist (~ 6.5”) which has been a problem with the bands I have received with previous Timex watches. The bands have been too long. The band with this watch fits me perfectly and would even fit a wrist smaller than mine. Date was easy to set. As far as the ticking, I have yet to even hear it unless I hold it up to my ear. I’m hoping the battery lasts a long time as I plan to use it for travel. So far so good!

Bought this Expedition on Amazon in December 2015 after my first one (purchased in 2000) got old/beat up (still kept excellent time). It spent 8 years in the Army with me, went on numerous deployments around the world. This one was somewhat smaller than my original. I wear the watch 24/7. I don't wear it swimming/bathing or running (although I ran with the original regularly). I'm not hard on a watch, but I don't give take special precautions either. Always loved the look/style. Keeps excellent time. Indiglo is an excellent feature, and provides all the brightness you could want, but I suspect the movement on this watch slows a bit the more often I use it, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Also, Indiglo sometimes gets activated inadvertently if I bend my wrist just right, which could work against you tactically if you're trying to remain unseen in the dark. I did not rate water resistance because I've never immersed my watch. Still, 24/7 wear in all weather conditions has never resulted in any moisture issues. Quartz movement on my watch is easily accurate to within +/- 5 seconds per week. Watch can be easily synchronized and is reliable. In my opinion, for under $35, you can't go wrong. Practically disposable at that price. But you won't want to.

For an simple, functional, daily wear watch, this looks ~so~ much better than just about every watch I looked at (at least 30 different models.) I instantly loved it and have not stopped wearing it since it arrived. The colors go well with just about everything you can imagine, the off-white face with black details is easy to read (with or without the light), the date is large enough to be read without ruining the overall design, and the clean lines of the case present a quite refined look. This is a traditional sized men's watch, so be sure to check the diameter of the case before you order. Large watches have been in vogue for some time (no further comments) but this is the same size as the couple of old watches I have that date back to the late 70's and early 80's.The band is a padded leather with an imprint on one side (a stylized E) which feels nice, even on warm days. I have not seen any staining or discoloration of the leather with normal wear, although it's not the highest quality leather out there. The band is of standard design, so you'll be able to get a different color or style easily (not all watches use a standard band design, so be ready for that.) If you are looking for a functional, clean looking watch that is both reliable and smart looking, able to handle being work with jeans and a tee shirt or a blazer and tie, something that won't be ruined if you hold your umbrella for a lady on a rainy day, then look no further. If you are more interested in a tea saucer with knobs on that shouts 'Hey! Everybody! Check out my watch!!' you might want to look elsewhere...

NIce watch, hand could be darker to be more visible. Not sure about complaints of band. I went to be and slept in it by accident and didn't even notice it. I find the band perfect.

The khaki one with a black dial does not have an indiglo backlight, even though it was advertised as such. Also the picture makes the strap look more green. The strap is khaki. Otherwise, it’s a good looking watch at a good price.

Excelente reloj, buen diseño, buena funcionalidad y un precio muy atractivo. En las imágenes pareciera de un color bronce algo extraño pero es en realidad color acero con su acabado cepillado. La correa de cuero que incluye es de buena calidad con varios detalles interesantes, pero en mi opinión hace ver al reloj como un artículo más antiguo, le da un carácter más serio, por eso adjunto algunas fotos con correa NATO (no incluida) para que observes lo bien que se ve utilizando otras opciones. La esfera no es totalmente blanca, si no que tiene un tono crema muy sutil que le da un toque vintage. Los números y marcadores perfectamente impresos le dan un look más moderno que otros relojes de la serie Expedition, recordando a otro Hamilton Khaki, en este caso el Titanium Auto. También hace considerablemente menos ruido que mi Expedition Scout. Muy recomendado, aunque a veces sube mucho de precio, lo mejor es esperarlo en una oferta, porque a pesar de su excelente diseño sigue siendo un reloj de cuarzo con caja de latón.

Good watch, build is solid I am loving it

Relógio clássico, elegante e, ao mesmo tempo, casual. Tenho mãos grandes e punho largo, mas o tamanho de 37 mm não ficou pequeno; acredito que seja uma medida ótima para muita gente. Li algumas críticas dizendo que ele era “barulhento”, o que não constatei — só dá para ouvir se aproximar bem do ouvido. Recomendo comprar um bracelete para alternar com a pulseira original, já que o couro tende a se desgastar com o tempo. No mais, vale o preço que paguei, pouco mais de 300 reais.

Das ist eine sehr schöne klassische Armbanduhr. Die Verarbeitung sieht wertig aus, dass Lederarmband liegt sehr angenehm auf der Haut. Die Krone hat drei Funktionen. Halb herausziehen um das Datum einzustellen, ganz herausziehen um die Uhrzeit einzustellen. Ganz hereindrücken und die Hintergrundbeleuchtung "Indiglo" wird eingeschaltet. Das ist eine ganz schicke Sache. Damit ist man im Dunkeln immer informiert, was die Uhrzeit angeht. Lautlos ist das Uhrwerk nicht, das stört mich persönlich nicht, man hört es auch nur wenn es recht still ist.

Orologio molto compatto e comodo da indossare, sia grazie al diametro di 35mm che per il design a orologio militare tipo Hamilton Khaki o Seiko 5 automatico. Il cinturino da 18mm è in pelle ed è molto comodo da indossare. La funzione indiglo rende facile la lettura al buio, retroilluminando il quadrante bianco. Le lancette nel caso hanno la pasta luminescente se non si vuole scomodare la retroilluminazione. L'unica nota negativa è il Fondello a pressione che richiede per forza la macchinetta per la chiusura, quindi occorre andare da un orologiaio o tentare brutalmente la chiusura facendo pressione uniforme (ma non consiglio.) monta una batteria cr2016.
