For the money, it is decent. The mechanism is no worse than any other out there (i.e. cheap but serviceable). I've not tried it in a heavy wind and I do not expect much in that situation as these must cost close on to a dollar to actually make in China at most.My main objection is that the umbrella is clown-sized...that is, it looks more like something gaily painted being waved about at the circus by someone in motley. If there is even a slight breeze, you're going to get wet as there is simply insufficient coverage for anyone over the age of five. Your head and shoulders will remain dry but don't count on this to keep your garb unsoaked. The measurement is clearly inflated as seems to be common for all umbrella makers.One other annoyance is the wrist loop is far too small for an adult male, or at least *this* particular adult male. This makes carrying it when furled awkward as there is no comfortable way to hold it other than with a couple of fingers through the ministrap, which is made of a very cheesy feeling plastic so I wonder just how long it will remain as a loop.Again, for the money it is not bad. A good back-up umbrella to keep in your desk or car or by the door for a quick jaunt to the mailbox but it's not going to be adequate for a serious rainstorm or for sheltering you and an armload of shopping.

Push the button to open the umbrella.... good. Close it. Push the button again.... button stuck, won't pop back up... close umbrella... but won't stay close since button is stuck. Took apart handle to fix button... pop button out, put it back. Works again... but... button stuck again. Overall very weak and lightweight construction. Umbrella returned.

Small, basic auto up umbrella. Good for keeping in the car or office if you get caught in the rain!
