Floor Transition Self Adhesive Laminate Strip - Threshold Seam Cover, Vinyl Door Trim With Elegant Wood Grain Design (Black, 2"/10 FT)

Easy to apply. Easy to cut to needed size. Strong adhesive. It is holding up well to repeated wheelchair/knee scooter use, with no signs of wear yet (it has only been a week) and no signs of adhesive coming up. Looks like our wood flooring. Does not look cheap- it just blends right in.

Installed this in three doorways where the transition is original hardwood flooring to recent laminate flooring. Removed a hallway carpet that was hiding the three (ugly) transitions. The floors are nearly the same level, but not exactly same level. There are gaps between the hardwood and laminate floors from 1/8" to 3/8 inch. Filled the gaps with leftover laminate to maintain level, then installed the transition strips. We need to roll an occupied office chair over these transitions. The adhesive is holding the transition strip in place when the occupied office chair (small wheels) easily rolls over the transition, and so far, the transition color and "grain" is unharmed. The color is close enough to both the hardwood and laminate. The transition strip arrived during the winter, so I warmed it over a floor forced air vent. It was easy to handle. This is a really good solution that looks good and accommodates the office chair mobility.

Easy to cut and peel the adhesive backing off...You have to pay attention to what you are doing and prep the surface properly-Make sure both sides are level with each other and then clean the surfaces with rubbing alcohol or similar...Then test fit it without removing the backing...Once it looks right, peel 1" or less of backing off one end and stick that end down, making sure it is square...Then slowly unpeel/press down as you go towards the other side...Luckily, this color blends in pretty well with my flooring...Better than the crappy aluminum strip I nailed down previously! And even if it comes loose in a few weeks or months..Who cares!? It's $18 for 10 feet...

These are pretty amazing. We have an old house in which a previous owner had put down some plank flooring on top of the old hardwood, and they used lousy thresholds between a couple of the rooms. One was chipping, the other had ceased to exist. I wanted something high-quality that came close to matching the floor, but nailing into vinyl planking was going to be a challenge. These are great. The adhesive is excellent, and they’re very easily trimmed to exact fit. All I had to do was to measure just a hair long, cut it. Lay it in the position (before peeling the backing loose) and mark it a second time so I could get an exact length. I trimmed again, about an eighth of an inch. Because it’s flexible, I used a pencil and a straight edge to draw a line on the floor as to where I wanted one side of it to be, then I peeled the backing off and laid it into position. It worked extremely well for both thresholds and I had a bit leftover. This is a very nice product.

Bought this Floor Transition Strip to cover the seam between two different flooring surfaces and it worked well for my needs. The self-adhesive backing made installation quick and straightforward; no tools or extra hardware were required. The strip has a clean, low-profile design that blends nicely with the floor and helps create a more finished look. It also does a good job of covering gaps and reducing the risk of tripping over uneven transitions. Overall, this is a practical and affordable solution for covering floor seams and transitions. LOVE!! We broke the threshold from our hallway to our bedroom, and this is a perfect solution!!! I can’t praise it enough. HOWEVER, if you run a very clean, high-end home, this may feel too cheap for you. I love it, but we have four animals, and our house always needs cleaning. I love this product for its convenience and look…for our standard of living, if that makes sense! We just aren’t as “pristine” and “spotless” as some homes. Highly recommend for a quick fix.

I was nervous about using this plastic strip to cover the gap at the ends of the laminate right in front of the main steel door, but you've got to have good coverage there. I filled the gap with small trimmings of the laminate and then used the strip, so it has something to rest upon over the gap area. It looks good, it does not draw your eye to it, it blends in and works. Feel adhesive is good. Really pleased with this result.

The floor transition strip looks decent and was easy to install, but the quality was not as good as I expected. The adhesive did not hold very well in some areas, and it started lifting after a short time. It works for a temporary fix, but for the price I expected something more durable and long-lasting. Not terrible, but not really worth it to me.

The color matches great. Easy to put down. There is enough for 2 doorways.

Texture is a bit softer than I tough, it is like rubber. But, seems to be good quality
