Like her so far!
I’ve had the tv for a few days. I went from an try level 65” Samsung UHD 4k set to this. So entry level to entry level. Neither tv competes with the super expensive stuff. I like the firetv eco system and use youtube.tv as primary source for live tv. Hard to beat for the price. Is it perfect no, can it be brighter with more nits etc, yes. But I hate having to worry about always adjusting tvs, I just want to turn it on and produce a great image. This tv does that. Dolby vision content has looked stunning. High res 4k youtube videos are breathtaking. I really like the ambient feature. Really is the game changer. Makes for a very nice tv frame experience. A negative is the performance of youtube.tv app. Not as snappy as I like, little sluggish. No other issues with any other apps, just for some reason the youtube.tv app, isn’t running 100% perfect. I have a firetv 4k max that runs youtube.tv flawlessly. I’ve cleared cache and reinstalled the app, and its still not perfect. Just not as snappy as a I like. Other odd thing – the pro remote isn’t quite as responsive at times as the remote that shipped with the tv. Not sure why or what’s up, but the pro remote is a better device, the buttons are nearly silent. Hopefully these minor kinks get worked out.. Lastly, the tv literally is sitting above my fiber wireless gateway, for what ever reason the wifi adapter just doesn’t get maximum speeds. The speeds are adequate usually the high 100s or low 200s mbs, but I would think it would be closer to 500 etc. I’m going to play around with a usb 2.0 to ethernet adapter to see if that improves the youtube.tv issue. Nothing major, but just not as snappy as it should be to be honest. It’s not necessarily laggy, but should be much smoother. Its most noticeable when scrolling through the live channel guide. Word is youtube.tv is updating their compression as well any day now, and we hopefully see a visual improvement – that is the last thing, its like the old days when you used to watch SD content on a HD set, it looked terrible. Older shows not 1080 can get blurred out on the 75 inch set compared to a 65 inch tv. As I said before – netlfix, atv, prime, hulu etc content look great – youtube.tv needs some work….. TV also has non-centered vesa bracket – so I had to do re-enginerring to move the brackets up about 4-5 inches so I didn’t have to remove my mount from the wall – it worked, with some basic vesa extender brackets, to allow the tv to sit at a similar height as my samsung

You won’t be disappointed
What a great TV for the price! this tv is replacing an old Vizio 50” I’ve had forever as a bedroom tv. I’m going to be having surgery soon so a lot of time will be spent in my master bedroom either in the recliner or the bed so I figured it was time to upgrade. What an upgrade it is. Pictures fantastic and the setup and use is very simple. Very satisfied with my Amazon day purchase. Can’t beat this TV for the price.

I should’ve known…
I should’ve done more research before purchasing this TV. Here’s why. This is a review from a person who didn’t care to have a TV for the last 20 years and was completely fine with just having an iPad and an iPhone, along with my PC. I just didn’t need a TV but I thought to myself, “Why don’t I treat myself with a decent TV”? so I bought one during PRIME sale. I didn’t need anything too fancy. With tax included this TV was about $390 on Prime sale. I wasn’t expecting much but I wanted a smart TV which I could operate everything with my voice through Alexa. Oh boy, was I wrong in thinking lightly about this. I realized that I’m the type of person who gets very frustrated with “slow” computers and I get very impatient with it. This TV is in that “slow” category. How would I know if it’s “slow” if I didn’t have TV for the last 20 years you say? Well that’s because if it’s taking me UP TO 2 - 10 seconds to open an app, let alone taking me 3 - 5 seconds to just scroll through from 1 page to another page, then in this day and age it is considered slow. This slow response time from pressing a remote controller button to opening an app and lag between switching apps is a deal breaker for me. I didn’t even want to use the TV because my iPhone and my iPad is MUCH faster than this with almost no input delay and minimal lag. Just FYI, my iPad is 6 years old and my iPhone is 5 years old since its release. To give you guys an idea, this TV is slow as the iPhone 8 or 9. It’s around there and I know this because I use to work in the cellular phone industry. From iPhone 10 and above was the time when input delay and lag between apps SIGNIFICANTLY decreased so in other words this TV’s processing speed is equivalent of an iPhone which was made over AT LEAST 8 YEARS AGO. Even when turning the TV on right out of the box, I could immediately tell that the ram was low and the processor was a slow one. I can already feel it and I haven’t even downloaded any apps on it. Later, I found out that this TV had a reputation for lag or should I say slow response time. When it comes to the picture quality, it’s decent. It’s nice. I’m ok with it. Am I impressed by it? Not really. I would say bare minimum in today’s technology in the year 2025 with the price that comes with it. It’s nice but I wouldn’t praise about it. The controller that came with it felt VERY cheap. As a matter of fact, the controller was already squeaking from the first time of use. TBH, as a $400 smart TV, I was expecting more. There was really nothing that I enjoyed using this TV expect for the fact that it has a nice big screen to stream videos but that itself became less of an enjoyment compared to the slow response time I was constantly experiencing. After having done my research within the same “budget TV” class, the “TCL 55-Inch Class QM6K Series QD-Mini LED 4K UHD Google Smart TV Best Value Mini-LED TV - QLED, 144hz” was in almost in every way far superior compared to this FireTV and it’s not even slight. It’s a pretty significant difference. Even non-tech savvy’s can tell the differences. This TV sells for about $130 more compared to FireTV but it’s much more future proof. It was funny because I also found out that this tv was also chosen as the best mid-range TV for the value as well. There’s almost no input delay just like your smartphones so if you’re the type of person who is budget conscious and wants a fast TV along with pretty good color contrast, get this one. This $130 increase from this FireTV is completely justified. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have in-built Alexa but it’s Alexa compatible meaning if you have any Alexa device, this will still work (like echo-dot). I hope this review can shed some new light to the people who haven’t gotten a tv in a while. If you found this review to be helpful, your “helpful” button would be appreciated :)

Great TV for the price with two caveats
Overall, image quality is great, especially doe the price, but this TV is best for a darker room primarily because the screen is glossy and shows reflections fairly easily, the other caveat is the processor for the smart features os a bit slow so you may want to invest in a separate 4k streaming device. The initial setup/updates were super slow (20-30 mins of updating on first startup) and the navigation itself is not super laggy but just slow enough to be mildly annoying Audio quality seems pretty decent as well, nothing mind blowing but as far as built in TV speakers go they are a bit above average.

Just What I Wanted
Great Fire TV for the price and features. Picture and sound are both good on the 50” version that still has local dimming. Some infrequent blooming but overall another TV that proves less dimming zones isn’t a detriment with proper processing. Peak brightness isn’t as high as more expensive TV’s but is still noticeable with HDR content and very acceptable at this price. HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision IQ all work well with good brightness range and color volume. Note: no Dolby Atoms for sound. I knew this, my TV is wall mounted high and tilted down slightly in a small bedroom and I have no need for a sound bar. NOTE: if using a sound bar with an optical cable, try turning the TV speakers off AND changing the output to PCM or Dolby Digital; and use HDMI 4 (ARC/eARC). This TV is a great value for my application and the budget I set for it. I’m just using the Fire TV interface and none of the HDMI inputs. So I can’t speak on Hue, Contrast and Color issues others may see. Out of the box, mine seems spot on and I currently have no want or desire to go in and adjust any settings based on the content from the various apps I’ve used. The interface isn’t as fast as the Fire TV Cube 3 or Fire Stick 4K Max but still pretty good overall. Note to new Fire TV users: the interface is slower when updates are being downloaded and installed. Check the Device Info for updates several times when first starting the TV. There will be several updates: some very big ones and 2 to 3 more little ones at the least. Keep checking back until it says that it’s “up-to-date”. THEN start to really enjoy the interface. Also the network connection and its QUALITY also plays a factor. This TV supports 2.4/5Ghz and wired (100Mbps). Ambient mode is great but just remember what the TV tells you. The power button on the remote TOGGLES between the Fire TV interface and ambient mode and that long pressing it turns the TV off. No issues with any widgets so far for me. Also, my TV easily recognizes when I enter and exit the room. If you have other Amazon products nearby that listen for “Alexa”, simply change the TV’s wake word to Computer, Amazon or Echo. Absolutely no issues with this. 1. I haven’t found any “inescapable” ads to get to content. You can “click” on these shortcuts if you want but you can just user your voice to search for titles instead. Like every other TV interface or box, third party apps have their own interfaces, sign-ins, ads, etc. that can’t be controlled by Amazon, Apple, Google, TCL, etc. Third party apps also place their own ads onto the TV platform they are on based on the deals they have in place. 2. The Fire TV interface is anything but complex. You can set it up anyway you want. Again, the various interfaces, profiles, etc. of third party apps are completely independent from Fire TV and on the makers of them and this would be the same on any other TV platform. 3. YMMV on the interface. Third party crashes and bugs are possible too. Third party interface issues need to be reported to their makers. They manage the various versions of their app across various platforms and sometimes they aren’t all equal in performance or features offered by platform. 4. It hasn’t quite been a decade for Apple to allow the removal of 1st party apps (2016) but maybe Amazon will allow certain apps to be deleted one day. But understand these devices are meant to interface with and promote Amazon products and services primarily. 5. The remote button press sounds can be turned off in options for the main interface. Don’t know about the Alexa Home Theater mode but if there isn’t a way, find out if there is one and if not ask that it be implemented. 6. Again, out of the box settings being what they may for everyone, at least there are detailed picture settings available for the TV and all of its inputs – all independent of one another to get things looking the way you personally prefer.

Required some settings but amazing finally!
This was my 2nd purchase of amazon 75inch TV, i purchased to experience qled. My first one purchased few years back continued to impress me till date. Well my initial impression of picture quality of this TV after I completed the installation was awful. Extremely dull picture, fainted colors, HDR contents of dark scenes extremely foggy i was thinking‘what the fun’ in my head and absolutely thought of returning it back as my first instinct. After that i did few things that brought pictures to life and colors vibrant. I watched some old videos to check for upscaled contents presentation and newer videos to check for HDR and Dolby capabilities. I can say now this TV is performing very well in all scenarios. Here is list of things i did and everything listed below helped. 1. Default settings of picture type is energy saving mode, changed to standard. 2. Reduced brightness to 70. 3. Reduced color saturation to 45. 4. Up the local dimming to high. 5. Called amazon products support who updated software to current version. 6. Turned off wifi and connected TV to network using Ethernet wire. 7. Restarted TV several times throughout the process for any update or setting changes. Ultimately got the results i wanted. Very happy now! Update on Aug 10th, Today one more issue got resolved for me and that is adding widgets in ambient experience mode. As stated by several other reviewers along with screenshots that there was a consistent error msg appearing while trying to add widgets even when sw was upto date. I was manually doing sw updates and restarting tv several times since installed but today my TV actually received some sw update that has resolved the issue. Maybe all updates for a new TV are not released together and there is a gap of weeks.

Amazon Fire TV 75" Omni QLED Series 4K UHD smart TV
I love this TV! We upgraded to this a couple of months ago from a 65" UHD. The picture on this TV is remarkable. It was very simple to set up, especially with having numerous other Alexa devices. We have a moderate size living room so we decided to go with a wall mount. It's too heavy for one person to help, so I enlisted my brother. The colors are vivid and the darks are amazing. After it was all mounted and ready to go, it was a breeze to get set up and ready to watch. It works great with Alexa and is compatible with all of our Alexa devices. The size of the TV is great in our living room and easy to see. No damage was noted as some other reviewers commented on. My only problem, and wouldn't you know it, is that just a month after purchasing this, there is a newer model that's Alexa Plus enabled. Not a complaint mind you, just my luck. I believe we will be pleased with this TV for years to come.

Not worth it
In my 20+ years of using Amazon, I've only ever written reviews for two products. In both cases, the products were outstanding and deserved the recognition (note: I recently removed one, because it was for a piece of software that I bought in 2002 and has not been relevant in the decades since). In this particular case, I feel an obligation to warn future buyers about what they're considering. First, some background. I wanted an easily wall-mountable 4K/UHD television in the 40-50" range for my second bedroom, which is also my office. It wasn't meant for constant use - mostly for guests when they stay over, or if I happen to sleep in that room, or to stream the news or YouTube background music for ambience while I work. The idea of having a FireTV built into the same device was very appealing, because it meant fewer cords, cables, remotes, things to plug in, things to unplug or turn off & on again for troubleshooting, etc. I've generally had good experiences with Amazon-branded products, so a relatively inexpensive television that checked all of those boxes seemed like an opportunity for another good experience. Here's the good: It checks the boxes. It's easy to mount. With the built-in FireTV, things are pretty simple. For a non-theater-quality television experience, the picture and sound are great. Right now I'm streaming a video called "Medieval Irish Tavern While Celtic Travelling Band Plays Ambience 🔥🎶 Crackling Fireplace & Chatter" while working (well, err, while writing this review), and it sounds fantastic, the colors are bright, and the viewing angles are actually really good. It's all very pleasant. Here's the bad: I'm not using the built-in FireTV. Nay, I ended up mounting an old Apple TV to the back and use that. That's right - for my Amazon FireTV, I use it to watch my Apple TV. "Whaaaaat! Blasphemy!" you might be thinking. But, lo, for while my hopes for the FireTV were grand, as I use a "4k Max" Fire TV Stick from 2021 on my main television, alas, whatever Amazon did with this television is, to quote Jean-Ralphio, "the woooooooooorst." Once you get something playing, sure, it's fine. Queue up that Netflix movie, start that episode on Hulu, get that YouTube ambience rolling - it's all good, my friend. However. The experience of getting to the point of something running is terrible. The built-in FireTV is so slow as to be nearly unusable at times. I'm talking, like, pressing a button on the remote to navigate a menu and it taking a full second or more to see a response. That might not seem so terrible but in real life it's unbearable. It's slow to respond, it can be jittery at times, and it's just such an awful user experience. I was so disappointed, but by the time I was ready to give up I was past my return window, so I invested another $40 in a plastic mount and flat extension cord to attach the Apple TV as discretely as possible to the back. Would I recommend this for someone looking for even a basic television for streaming? Sadly, no. It ain't worth your time. Find another television that meets your physical dimension and quality needs, then spring for another $45 or whatever it costs for a new Fire TV Stick these days, and move on with your life. I wish I had done the same.
