It is a trimmer. That is the best thing I can say about it. It's not fast enough to be thorough in trimming beard hair and you would have to keep trimming one place again and again.It is not suitable for genitals either because apartment from the above, it gets hot way too quick (in around 5 to 10 mins of constant use) because of which nicks and cuts become more possible and those are always a pain to deal with.It has various attachments which give a predetermined cut length which is very restrictive instead of other trimmers which have one or two attachments which are adjustable to a half inch length.

Please save your money... This is not nick proof. It will definitely cut you . It's like a regular trimmer that can't be used on your genitals... Go for phillips . Don't fall for the 4+ ratings

I took a chance on buying a slightly cheaper than Braun unit, and haven't regretted it.There is no scratching or damage of skin when using this device and the charge lastsfor well over two trims of all parts that need trimming. One charge may last a lot longerbut I havent needed to use it more than twice so far, and the charge is still good.The cut is efficient and good so I would say functionality is spot on, as is quality.I cannot fault it, hence the 5star rating
