I had the original cover from Google but it was not protective enough. Happy with this new cover. High quality and sturdy cover. Looks heavy but in reality Not too heavy! The only down side is the front screen cover. I had to remove it as it reduces the quality of screen! Overall I can recommend it.

The two parts of the case fit well and would appear to provide the drop protection stated. Port and button cut-outs are align and are accessible with the exception of the SIM card tray that is covered by the case. For the price, I was pretty disappointed with the stand and the lack of Pixel Snap, wireless charging, and kickstand both folder and unfolded. The back of the case is plastic but also has the kickstand so has some depth to it. This means that the Pixel Snap magnets cannot lock onto to anything. Even the basic Google Pixel Snap charger (minimal puck disk shape) won't stay in place. This leads into the second issue, we cause of this case thickness, my previous wireless charger would detect the phone put say it can't charge. The Google Pixel Snap charger does the same. Useless. I purchased a magnetic ring (for adding snap to legacy devices and stuck it on the back of the case, now snap accessories stick but still won't charge. I removed the sliding kickstand as it is directly above the charging area and with the ring and no kickstand wireless charging will start but charges at a rate so slow it's pointless. Other case providers create a circular depression in the case plastic so the snap discs can lock on and the wireless charge get through. I removed the kickstand in the hope it would fix charging as in folded mode the angle of the phone was less that 45 degrees. when unfolded the kickstand is to one side making it unstable touching one side of the screen. If the case exposed the Pixel Snap area could could snap on one of the stands making the kickstand in the case redundant. Not using the kickstand and just laying the phone unfolded on a flat surface means it is sitting on the plastic hinge protector which is 5 mm deeper than the back of the unfolded phone with case. This means the whole thing is balancing on 10 mm wide plastic ridge. Touching any part of the screen (except the very centre) the whole thing wobbles continuously like a seesaw. Having little feet to pop out in each corner (like those on the back of keyboards) would have solved this. If the Pixel snap and wireless charging worked I could ignore everything else, but it doesn't. I intend to return it as not fit for purpose. At half the price it would still be a hard sell. It feels like the previous model fold case resized and pushed to market without being designed for the new model.

Super rugged case. A little bulky but that's what I expect when buying this sort of case. If you want to keep your pixel safe then this is the case for you!
