Hello!  Both SkinSmart products and CleanSmart products are based on the same Hypochlorous technology.  However, the SkinSmart products are manufactured under FDA specifications, designed for use on human skin.  The CleanSmart products (bathroom spray, etc ) are designed for surfaces, and manufactured under EPA regulatory specification.s.  Thank you!

after wearing makeup all day would you remove it 1st w something else, then use this? Or is it a portable touch up sort of thing?

This is NOT that sort of cleanser. You definitely need to remove your makeup before using it if you're planning on going to bed. You can apply it on top of your makeup throughout the day to resfresh your makeup though. When they call this a "cleanser" all they mean is that the active ingredient hypochlorous acid kill bacteria and germs. It's actually a very strong disinfectant, which is why there is such a low percentage is products meant for the skin. Don't worry though, your skin naturally produces hypochlorous acid so it won't cause irritation or sensitivity. Btw, all of SkinSmarts products are the exact same. Only the packaging and the marketing are different. When you buy this cleanser you're getting the same spray as you would if you bought the eczema treatment or nipple spray.
