Looks and Works Great!
I recently picked up one of the new 93R-17 rifles with a built-in rail, thinking I would use standard Weaver rings to mount a Vortex scope. The scope I'm using with the rifle is a Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x42 (Found on This Page) , and my first mounting attempt was using Vortex Medium-Height Rings (Which I purchased from This Page) .It was immediately obvious that the medium rings, when combined with the height of the Weaver base, were far too high for my liking - so I came back to Amazon to pick up the low version of the same Vortex rings.Although the height was better with the low rings, it pulled the scope in too close to the rail and created 2 problems:1) The rail prevented the scope from being pushed forward far enough to match the eye relief on the scope2) It looked dumb (in my opinion) with the rail pretty much touching the scope in the front and rearThank goodness that Amazon has such a great return policy!Anyway, after 2 failed attempts I wound up on Amazon again looking for an alternate solution - and that's when I came across this Game Reaper mount. I didn't have any previous experience with the Game Reaper brand, but decided to give it a try based on existing positive reviews.Let me say that this mount rocks!1) It was extremely easy to remove the existing Weaver rail, and this Game Reaper mount installed quickly in it's place with just a drop of blue loctite on each screw.2) The height of the medium mount works perfectly with my Vortex 42mm scope. It's just a hair higher than the low rings, but still at a reasonable height above the barrel. (I included a couple of photos so you can see how it looks without the scope cover.)3) The quality of this mount is excellent - it's on par with mounts I've purchased that cost far more. (Obviously for more expensive rifles/scopes.)4) It looks great!Personally, I'd recommend ditching the Weaver rail if you got a Savage 93R17 that includes one and going straight for this mount in the appropriate height for your scope. If your rifle didn't come with a rail, then that's even more reason to go straight to this mount. On a side note, this .17 HMR Savage is sure a fun rifle. :)

Works GREAT on Savage 93F 22wmr.
I recently bought a Savage 93F 22wmr rifle and was wanting to install an optic on it. I looked at several options and settled on this one. Why? It had the best reviews and it's a monolithic mount.Mounting went smoothly, although I did have to chase the front threads on the receiver, but that isn't this mounts fault. I followed the toque specifications provided with the mount and all went well.I only ran into one issue. I mounted a Cabelas brand caliber specific 3-9x 40mm scope using this mount. With this particular combination the rear iron sights interfere with the front of the scope so much that even with the scope all the way forward it was still contacting. I had to drift out the rear sights from the dovetail in order to fully mount said optic in a proper position for good eye relief/comfort. This is not a big deal for me as I never intended to use the iron sights. I bought a spare rear sight and cut it down to fill in the dovetail in the barrel for cosmetic reasons and all is right with the world now.

The best 93R scope mount you can buy!!
This mount is total quality! I know because I dropped my new 93RBTLSS while trying to get a bore snake through the barrel...(another story). I mounted a Simmons Protarget 3X12 on my new rifle last week and went to the range and shot sub MOA groups from 50 to 100 yards. First of all I need to say the 93R17 is crazy accurate. I covered a nickel at 100 yards. Sweet shooter. After an unfortunate HARD thump to the combo I felt I had to go back to the range to make sure zero was still zero. To my astonishment it was still there!! This is the most solid mount I have ever used. Can I give 3 thumbs up for this mount? It mounted perfectly and took some punishment. If you are looking for a quality mount this is it. Leupold, Nikon or whatever you want to use this mount is the BEST.

Medium with 50mm worked perfect
So I ditched the base in favor for the one piece mount and better cheek weld, on a savage 93r17 fv-sr I’m using medium height with meopta 4.5-14x50 and have plenty of room for covers and it clears the ocular too when cycling the bolt. Can’t vouch for other peoples 50mm but this 1” tube 50mm objective worked perfectly. Pic coming soon.

thease are the best I have ever dealt with
The next time I look for mounts I will begin with Game Reaper mounts . I have bought and installed mounts for almost forty years , thease are the best I have ever dealt with . I am a machine shop inspector and am very picky about precision . They fit perfect on my 22 mag. I set the scope in four shots at 30 yards . That is rare . THANK YOU.
