Dickie Toys 48" Mega Crane and Truck Vehicle and Playset

I waited to review this toy a full year. Love the Dickie toy prices but was apprehensive about buying, compared to other companies offering a similar toy at double the price. I rolled the dice and after that year, this crane is still standing and operating. It gets the full workout with two boys under 10. They have to troubleshoot it on occasion, but always 'fix it'. Operating a remote control is a big attraction. Dickies please come out with more 'action figures' to incorporate and buy separately. Recommend this for kiddos at least 5 or older.

I purchased this after watching videos of it in action and have to admit I was skeptical before watching because of the low price. I'm glad I was pleasantly surprised. It has already taken several tumbles with zero damage sustained. The main operator is 3 1/2 years old and uses it to load his trucks. It comes with an open hook and a spring loaded claw for lifting devises. The only way I could improve this is to have a spring latch on the hook so it won't fall off of the load while there's no tension on the lifting line - but that's being REALLY picky, Everyone has taken turns and enjoyed it.

This product is great given the price. My son was amazed to see it - the size - and the remote control are really impressive. Was not difficult to put together. The remote is a little quirky - the directional buttons do not always move the crane the way you plan - but my friend year old just presses all the buttons until it goes the way he wants so it works out. The plastic is a little fragile seeming. Not the most sturdy toy ever-but so far it’s been fine. If the batteries are going dead one function on the remote will go out - so try replacing the batteries before you declare it broken.

It is very large and easy to use. Some buttons stopped working after a while but a battery change was apparently all it needed. It toppled over a few times before I put a counterweight in the bucket. For some reason I thought it came with one but it didn't so I improvised and made one with rocks and it's been perfectly stable since then. Overall it's a great toy and has become one of my sons favorites.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and it didn't even last the day. Flimsy parts come apart easily and the motor initially would lift well, but after a morning of use, barely lifts any weight. Says ages 3 to 5 but a child must also understand counter balance to play with it as it falls over very easily. Do not buy. It looks cool and my son loved it, but its cheap, wont last and is thus a waste of money.

When we first put this together I didn't think it was going to be too sturdy, but I was wrong. It is actually built to come apart if it falls over and easily put back together. It is so much fun for my grandson and his friends. He is almost three and can operate the remote and since it is attached by a wire it doesn't get lost. The top part goes around and the hook goes back and forth and up and down. My only comment is that we only used one of the two pieces for the upper tower. It was too tall with both.

I love all the features it has. The mobility and overall crane usage is awesome. But planning is poor for kids. Kids are clumsy and kids over do things. That being said, the crane is awesome. But if your kid is anything like my boy.. figure out a way to WEIGH the base of the damn thing down for anything because as soon as it tips over it snaps if it falls. We have glued, taped, tied the crane pieces together to give him usage the best we can but it needs to be more durable. I'd pay more for metal connecting pieces. The crane can be plastic but the pieces that connect and bare weight need to be better.

Bought as a Christmas present for my 4 y/o. He's into actual construction vehicles, so this was perfect for him. Easy to assemble. The control did not come with the batteries (6 AA batteries are needed) and the buttoms are reversed, up goes down and down goes up. Its a little flimsy. Bottom line, the toy is worth the money, my son is very happy with it and so am I seeing him enjoy it.

Für den Preis ist der Kran völlig in Ordnung. Leider ist der öfters umgefallen, nicht von selber sondern beim ausgiebigem spielen, ich kann aber nicht beurteilen ob es bei den anderen Spielzeugen genauso ist. Der Zusammenbau war einfach. Wir haben dann das Unterteil modifiziert, so hat er einen viel besseren Stand.

Great toy for crane obsessed kids. A lot bigger than I thought it would be, our son loves it. Although I didn’t pay much attention to the age guidelines and there are parts that are a little small and tricky to use but overall a great success.

The product is great. well happy with it as well as with the little one that got it from Santa. Poor Santa though, the box is massive, way too big to be honest and could have some thinking to reduce its size. Its the only down side really. Assembly took around 5 mins, with another 5-10 for stickers but playing was already in progress so no issues there. recomend it, excelent value for money.

Mi sobrino está encantada con ella, es muy grande y rota sobre si misma 359º hasta el tope que tieene que hacer en sentido contrario, el mando se ha llevado ya unos golpes y sigue funcionando. La torre también se ha caido... cosas de crios y no se ha roto, solo se desmonta la parte superior

Este juguete es especial, muy padre y grande, vi algunas malas reseñas, tenía el temblor, pero no me arrepiento de comprarlo. Tiene un control remoto alámbrico que hace que suba y baje, así como para que se mueva "el gancho" de la grúa para enfrente y atrás. Es del tamaño de un niño de 4 años y es impresionante para ellos. Tiene una "garra" pero es manual, así que no crean que todo hace automático. Fue un regalo para mi sobrino hace ya algunos meses y aún sigue utilizando y sigue funcionando.
