Aya Japanese Camellia Hair and Body Oil. Cold-pressed. Unrefined.

I wanted to wait a few months before leaving this review. This shipped from Japan and I live in San Diego, the shipment wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it arrived quite fast and very well packaged. I appreciated the samples they included too. Let me say that this is REAL Camellia Japonica oil also known as Tsubaki oil. I was greatly disappointed when I saw that most Camellia Sinensis oils (also known as green tea oil) were being sold as Tsubaki oil. It has a slight nutty smell which I don't mind and it absorbs quickly into the skin. This oil has done wonders for my skin. I'm 40 years old with some slight acne scaring, large pores, oily prone skin and have started to develope fine lines around my mouth and eyes @__@. My skin is prone to break outs but I needed something to help hydrate my skin and bring my moisture levels back to a healthy level with out clogging my pores or breaking me out. This has helped my scaring, dose not clog my sensitive pores and has greatly improved my fine lines. At night I apply 2-3 pumps of this oil on my hands and rub my hands together to warm the oil and pat the oil on my chest, neck and face until the oil is absorbed. I follow this up with a natural water based aloe cream. I did this for about a month and after seeing great results I started using 1 pump in the morning applied to the same areas before my moisturizer and make up. My skin feels hydrated and actually has a bit of a healthy glow to it. My oil production is under control and I'm not a greasy mess by the end of the day. I've begun to use this on my hair to see if it will help my control my fly aways and keep my ends healthy. I can't say enough good things about this oil. I will be purchasing more bottles in the future for Mother's Day to give as gifts. Don't let the price intimidate you, do your research its worth every cent!

I'd quested for weeks and weeks to find Camellia Japonica last year. I finally found it with WAWAZA and ordered it from their site. Wanting another bottle this year - because it is not inexpensive and yet does last as my final step in AM and/or PM facial routine - I was happy to see they were selling it on Amazon because I needed other purchases at the time. This is not Camellia Oleifera and neither is it Camellia Sinensis, which I'm noticing other sellers calling both or either Tsubaki - or sometimes with additives or other oils - and that's inaccurate. (I am assuming they are confused instead of intentionally misleading.) I have no opinion on the other two varieties; just trying to offer accuracy since my original search was confusing. I enjoy WAWAZA's C. Japonica because I love the glass bottle, the sturdiness of the pump, and the quality of the oil. There is only the faintest of scent to my nose and it absorbs nicely. I'm positive I'll be re-purchasing next year.

This purchase was for my wife and she loves this product! The product arrived very quickly and exactly as it appears in the photo. Per my wife the oil has a very light nutty aroma that dissipates quickly. The light weight oil is absorbed into your skin fast and leaves your skin softer, smoother and more moisturized. A true winner!

Good product and good delivery. A bit expensive relative to other similar products, but may well be worth it. Will report long term results later.

Came in 9 days from Japan, parcel very well packed, as for product is very good quality, good for hair and hands .Has have very good results from camellia oil.

I was very impressed with this oil; I use it on my face and body, also as a hair treatment occasionally. WAWAZA is a terrific company and I will purchase from them again.

I purchased this product based on someone else's review of Camellia oil. Glad I read reviews! Thank you to the person who gave such a good description of what camellia oil is, and how to discern crap from quality. The product arrived very quickly and to my delight 1) PETA sticker on the box, so I know there are some ethics with this company. 2) Glass jar ( I think). I try not to use too much plastic and buying a product usually means plastic. Came very beautifully wrapped and with samples. I have so far used a drop on my hands and look forward to incorporating this into my daily facial routine. I am mid 50's and want to be using the best products I can afford. It's easy to get seduced into someone's marketing strategy, so before I buy, I read the ingredients and do as much research as I can. Quality botanical oils are worth investing in and I hope that I'm helping build this brand a bit.
