Utterly sensational 3rd album from Lindsey Webster (& Keith Slattery). Having pre-ordered the CD, the album was released today (Nov 4th) and I was able to listen to it prior to the disc arriving by post via my Amazon Music Library.I was a bit concerned just how Lindsey would deliver an album matching her previous blindingly brilliant releases. I should not have worried as for the moment I hit the play button, I became totally seduced by her vocal delivery! If angels have voices, they will sound like Lindsey Webster! Just as impressive for me is the absolutely brilliant production of every single track and each one of these is a top quality song!Lindsey has utilised the skills of some amazingly talented musicians and coupling this with her supreme vocal delivery means that she has released an album that I am incredibly impressed with. Consistency is the art of a successful artist. Lindsey and Keith have delivered this yet again.I know that the first single from this album is doing brilliantly well in the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts, but this to me is mostly unabated pure soul music with jazz overtones. If the thought of buying a jazz album puts you off, just give this album a listen and let Lindsey Webster steal your heart!Lindsey Webster, you should be mightily proud to have created a timeless masterpiece! Roll on the 4th Album!

I bought this album on the off chance and I have to say I am very impressed.As a fan of this gendre of music it’s good to have a fresh voice and Lindsey Webster has a great voice and all of these songs are really well produced I would describe this as late night relaxing music.Track listings:- 1. Sin duda todo un descubrimiento casual ya que en España no se la conoce. Desde el momento que empecé a escuchar sus canciones compré sus cuatro discos publicados hasta ahora. Elegante y sensual, canta un soul fresco con un punto comercial nada estridente y que engancha de principio a fin. Recomendable 100%

コンテンポラリー・ジャズのシンガー・ソングライター、Lindsey Websterの3作目。昨年リリースした2作目からのシングル「Fool Me Once」が、ビルボードのSmooth Jazz Songsチャートで1位となり、注目されたそうです。彼女の声質は少しハスキーで、ジャズでありながらソフル・ミュージックのテイストも感じます。ジャケ裏の惹句に、“もし、キャロル・キングとシャーデに子供がいたら、その子はリンジーに違いない”という何かの記事の引用が。うん、なかなかの表現。また、リードVoは抑え目が多く、巧みなアレンジにより自身でかぶせるコーラスは相当な音域を見事に披露します。それらが穏やかな楽曲にもアクティヴな印象を出していると思います。タイトル・トラックの1、リードとバックの歌声のコンビネーションが冴える。違う人が歌っているようです。スローなソウル・バラードのような4をはじめ、2から5は落ち着いたジャジーな雰囲気で聴かせます。ちょっとアフリカンな面白いイントロの6はカッコイイ。歌が素晴らしく、Saxソロは短いけれどスリリングでセンス抜群。7もカッコ良く、バックのリフの入れ方がソウルっぽい。シンセとOrのソロも良い。メロウな8、歌をじっくり聴かせます、押しつけがましくなくナチュラルに。カッコイイ9、サビのリフがとてもキャッチー。ホーン・セクションの使い方もあって。結構ファンキーな仕上がりに。6と同じ奏者のSax、素晴らしいです。少しダークなコンテンポラリー10では、ローズPとシンセのソロがイケてます。三つ折りのジャケに書いてある謝辞によれば、182人のサポーターのおかげで2万5千ドルが1ヶ月で集まり、本CD製作を始められたと。その思いに充分応えた好盤に仕上がっていると思います。

This is the album that not only introduced me to Lindsey, but also blew me away! Awesome voice , great jazz composition, and fantastic band. Her and Keith Slattery make a great song writing team. I got the digital version while I'm waiting on the CD, so I do not have the guitar man's name, but that dude is smooth. This is definitely her Jazziest album and it's hard to pick a favorite. I love seeing and hearing new Jazz talent when I come across it and it warms my heart to see it develop, knowing that the music will still keep going strong. I don't know how much, if at all artist read these reviews, but if you see this Lindsey, keep it up, and I look forward to seeing (and hearing) your progression as a Jazz artist.

After listening to Pandora and stumbling across the song, "One At A Time" featuring Kirk Whalum, I had to learn who this artist was. I found her station on Pandora and have been hooked ever since. I purchased the CD as a Christmas gift for myself and have been playing it daily. Every song has a ribbon-like effect with Lindsey's voice wrapped smartly around the musical arrangements. If you love contemporary jazz, soul, smooth jazz, this is a must have CD.

I STARTED HEARING MS WEBSTER ON YOUTUBE MAYBE A YEAR OR MORE AGO HER VOICE WAS SO LOW I COULDNOT MAKE OUT THE WORDS TO HER SONG (ALL HER SONG ARE WRITTEN BY HER AN I THINK HER PIANOPLAYER WHO I BELIEVE IS MARRIED TO HER, NOW SHE SINGS SO WELL IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE THE SAME MSWEBSTER I HEARD I AM RETIRED JAZZ NUT IN MY MID 70S AN THIS WOMEN WILL MAKE A GREAT MARK IN JAZZ ANTHE BLUES T.REED

Oh wow. I LOVE Lindsey Webster and especially this CD. Her voice is like velvet and she sounds like a modern-day Roberta Flack on some of the songs. After purchasing this CD I went back and got an older one of hers. I cannot wait until she releases the next album!

The Smooth Jazz world just got a little. This young artist is any indication, the smooth jazz lovers have nothing to fear. Lindsay sound caught my ear the very first song (Fooled me once). Been a Fan ever since.

Lindsey voice, songs and band are simply awesome. If you listen to her music you will be hooked. Perfect music to chill too. This is her best album. The others I have also. I highly recommend Lindsey's music to be added to your collection.

This young lady has the pipes and a great talent for writing songs along with her husband the keyboard player. This is a great CD! Cant wait to see her LIVE in December. Kudos

The only negative thing I can say is why isn't Lindsey's music being played on the radio? All of her c.d's are great and you won't be disappointed.

Very nice attempt. Somewhat soulful. Nice addition to my female vocalist collection. Not a bad song on the disc. This disc will be a hard act for her to follow.
