Lumix DMW-EC5GU-K Eyecup for GX9 Black

I occasionally wear glasses while photographing and found the GX9 EVF slightly difficult to use. I would use the EVF quite a bit and in bright light need to cup my hand round the EVF to get the best view.This Eyecup, designed for the Panasonic GX9 (please note it will not fit its similar sibling the GX80/85) is a good addition whether with or without glasses. It is nicely contoured and the soft rubber provides a good fit around the eye.It does not add much bulk to the camera and is fitted in seconds. It provides a tight fit over the EVF and is unlikely to come off.Also a thoughtful addition is a small string lanyard to allow the eyecup to be attached to the camera strap ring, should you wish to take it off for focusing, it wont get lost.The only downside is the price. However, it does make using the EVF a much better experience.Good addition, but not essential if you only use the EVF occasionally.Thanks for reading. Hope this helps.

Super fast delivery by Camera Box Kettering. Been using the GX9 since May without the eyecup and reluctant to buy one as it seemed a little expensive for what it is. Bit of a mistake waiting so long, works really well cutting out light leakage making the EVF appear sharper and clearer. Also offers another anchor point when hand holding assisting with stabilisation.

Does what it says on the tin - great at keeping out stray light from the viewfinder.
