I ordered this wth the hope of a larger vacuum container. I received it and after using a Tilia FoodSaver vacuum pump on it immediately after the pump was removed the vacuum was lost. I did every thing I could think of to get it to hold. I realized that the valve unit is faulty, possible poor design, because as long as the pump is attached even with it not running it held a vacuum. I contacted support and they told me basically it would work with their pump. I was confused, at best, as I thought a vacuum was a vacuum but I ordered it anyway. It seems that all I did was to waste another $8 on a pump. The pump actually works. I do not recommend this product unless you want an over priced storage container.

Even after I removed the device, it just continued to return to normal pressure.>.. My guess is that the value at the top is incompetent to seal the device, and perhaps the walls also separate from the lid under vacuum. In any case, total failure. Tossed out.

don't waist your money they don't hold a vacuum, just fancy plastic container

Great for marinating

I purchased several of these for use in a business. We must be able to keep roots and other things fresh for a very long time, and these so far allow us to do that. We have not gotten to test them long term yet, but they are much quicker and more efficient than jars.These have nice large openings on top so that you can get your hands and items in and out easily. We were using jars before, and even wide mouth jars posed a problem. We need no batteries with these, as they come with a hand pump which I love.A couple of mine were not staying vacuumed, every day they would lose their vacuum. And since we can't be checking these things every day, we have too many of them. I needed something that would reliably stay vacuumed without needing to be checked.I will say the customer service team did a great job with handling me. I asked if there was something I was doing wrong, as I have cleaned the seals and the buttons and still could not get them to stay vacuumed. They understood and replaced the units I was having issues with. And so far, the replacements have all been working fine :)Strong and works well. Only reason I gave it one star off is due to the possibility of them not staying sealed. But otherwise, everything is great! They have definitely extended the shelf life of our fresh products!Thanks Very Much!
