Evanston Tent with Screen Room Weatherproof Tent Sets Up in 15 Mins Included Rainfly & Carry Bag Made of PFAS-Free Materials

Bought this online, arrived in 2 days! First set up as usual, a pole in wrong sleeve, but that was all, easily corrected. No he would not look at the pic or instructions, after all it is just a tent! LOL The tent was wonderful, easy to set up, we never get them back in the original bags, flunked that course in scouting apparently, loved the screened porch! I agree that it would not keep much dry in the rain, however we camp where the dew is heavy and open bags stored near the actual tent entrance were perfectly dry and the tub storage near front of porch were also pretty dry. The width inside is perfect, the length, front to back could be a bit more roomy. Our queen size mattress was front to back with no extra room, if we were on perfectly flat dirt instead of rocks we think we would have gained a ft only. The door to the interior only opens on one side and therefore one of us had to crawl over the other to get outside. Will try the bed left to right next time, at least I won't get crawled over, I will let you know if this set up works better. But we did have rooom for 2 sterlite storage drawers for nightstands with storage for our personal items, flashlights etc on each side and our dog's bed and I do not think we felt cramped at all. A shortie beach type chair was perfect for removing shoes and sitting on the porch for dressing etc. He is very tall and liked the porch for dressing too. If a storm came all of our gear would have fit inside with us, that would be cramped indeed but it would fit and that is the point. The second day my SO decided I had purchased a condo, and he now laughingly refers to it as such. No it is not that big and will fit on most gravel bars and smaller campsites. The ventilation is great, but if you like to stargaze you ARE open to the overhead elements all night without the included rainfly. The opening covers approx 1/2 of the bed you will wake wet if rain or heavy dew occurs. The rainfly is designed very well and we think it would absolutely keep the rain out with windows open unless sideways rain happens, very sideways rain. In that case it would be time to go home anyway. We LOVE this tent and hope it gives us years of enjoyment. Am so looking forward to our next Current River float trip! As for returning it to it's original storage bag, we decided we would just keep it in a plastic storage tub, everything fit plus a couple of big lantern type flashlights, this will make it handy for next trip and no aggravations trying to fold, roll and stuff to fit in bag. We just put the rods, stakes and rainfly in the bag and it is in the tub too! On our second trip we were able to get the tent back into it's storage bag, and zipped too. Next trip I have purchaed diferent stakes because these jsut dont seem to like gravel much. the bed left to right was perfect! OK we had rain, and not just a little bit either, heavy winds too. A small leak near a back corner, considering it was a 3" rain not a big deal, one towel on the floor took care of the couple of cups of water. Wind, held up very well. We moved our pop up canopy over the tent opening in attempt to keep porch and its gear dry. So so luck on this due to the amount of rainfall. Now everyone else packed up and went home, we were dry and loving it. Some rain from canopy runoff caused water to come onto porch floor, but I think if some leaves or a bit of straw were centered front to back on the porch creating a high spot the water would have run out on its own to the weep holes. We loved coming and going from the tent to our canopy so much, without getting wet that we will most likely set up camp this way permanently LOL

All in all this is a remarkably good 3-season tent for two adults for a surprisingly low price -- hundreds of dollars less than comparable models by the higher end tent labels. We just returned from a weeklong outing up in Wisconsin's Northwoods and this tent performed admirably on its maiden trip. At long last we have finally replaced a Eureka Timberline 4-person tent we've had for many years. We're older now and wanted to graduate to a tent in which we could comfortably stand to dress, have ample space to stow gear and something easier to set up, and which would allow us to switch from inflatable pads on the ground to a pair of high-end REI cots. This tent checked all the boxes. Reviewers commented that this is tricky for one person to set up and I'm sure that's true, the two of us did it with ease. You'll want a 10'x14' base tarp to put underneath, which you can find here on Amazon for about $23, and you'll want to invest in the good heavy-duty 9" yellow plastic stakes that hold securely, also available here. I appreciate that the tension lines for the fly came already attached. I also recommend the green camping doormat sold here, it helps keep dirt out of your screened porch. And we bought a 2'x7' runner to place in the center between the two cots and this not only was very nice to step onto in the morning, but also cushioned against rocks and tree roots beneath the tent. This tent has a substantial waterproof floor which rises up on all sides to meet the material used for the rest of the tent; this is an improvement over older tents where all sides and bottom were made from the same light-weight material. As noted in most reviews, the screen porch is not covered by the fly and this will allow water to enter and collect. I assume that is why this product has been discontinued by Coleman and replaced with a new design featuring a fully covered entrance. Reviewers note that the tent itself holds up to rain extremely well and the exposed screen porch was not a deal-breaker for me; we typically watch the weather and pull up stakes if extremely violent weather is in the immediate forecast. I grew up in Southern California in a camping family and active in a Scout troop that camped monthly in the Sierras; and the two of us have been camping together for decades. Coleman has always meant a lot to me as a beloved legacy brand. Some of today's premier brands were just getting their start when I was a scout; Coleman was the standard, as it had been for my dad in his scouting days. We've always camped with Coleman gear and I'm especially glad to have found a Coleman tent that fits my needs. I need a little more comfort now than I did as a teenager, but I still want a green tent that looks like a tent, and this Coleman Evanston 6-person is perfect for us. Highly recommend.

We love this tent! We road tripped from Michigan to Montana and back, camping at 8 different campgrounds in 5 different states. This tent was easy enough to set up that I did it on my own most nights (while my husband made dinner). This tent kept us cozy during two severe thunderstorms and high winds. We love the screened-in porch. My kids are jealous because they were using our old 4-person Coleman tent. We discovered in the first thunderstorm that theirs is no longer waterproof, so this year we’ll be purchasing another 6-person Evanston. The tent was very spacious and comfortable for two of us, but during the night of the second thunderstorm the kids stayed in our (dry!) tent with us, and we all four for just fine!

Great tent design. I bought this for the screened "porch" addition so there was no need for an actual screen tent, but there are some give and takes on that note. The tent itself is good - just your basic dome style with a rainfly that performs very good keeping you dry in some downpours. I used this as a base camp tent for the whole summer of 2013 (June - August) and it held up perfectly. I did have a stake ring tab tear from the floor at the beginning of August. I don't think I put too much stress on getting the floor pulled taut, but the ring tab ripped during a setup. I can't say it was a defect, or general wear and tear from the elements that contributed to the failure. There were a lot of extremes - heavy rains, wind, hot sun, etc, and dirt embedding in the tabs going through saturation, and bone dry over and over again. But, to me this is the norm of camping. It happens. Wasn't the first time I've experienced this, so the idea here is to be prepared. I remedied the problem with a tarp clamp and attached the ring to the clamp so I could stake it down. There was some fraying where the tear occurred - the weave of the floor tarpaulin unraveled some, but nothing out of the ordinary, and the clamp took care of this. The screen section of this tent was not totally 100% satisfactory, but keep in mind this is my subjective view of what I think SHOULD be satisfactory. First, the good about the screen section is that it makes a great porch. It kept out the insects so I could have my breakfast and coffee each morning, and did the same for supper. When I was't hiking or swimming it made for a great place to hang out and get some writing done and just enjoy the view. But the bad part of this screen section is that it is flimsy. I never could get the screen doors pulled taut to where they wouldn't droop. Perhaps this is the design - meant to have a little slack in it - but I didn't like it, but not so much I couldn't use it, or want to send it back. After a little modification and reposition, I got it to where I was more comfortable with it, but still wasn't entirely happy with the droop. Not a deal breaker, but there's the reason for the 4 stars. Also, expect the screen to allow water in during rain. A screen is nothing more than a bunch of holes - good for air, bad for water tight integrity, so bear that in mind. During rain I took a mid sized tarp and fashioned an "A" frame vestibule over, and in front of the screen section. Worked perfectly. If there was a separate section to review the supplied tent stakes I would give a dismal score of -306. What is it with these little, dinky easy to bend with your hand tent stakes that seem to infect every tent on the market? I realize weight is a consideration, but I ALWAYS carry 10" spike nails and use those as stakes. Yes, they're a bear to pull out of the ground, but a claw hammer takes care of that. In my experience with the tent it made for a perfect size for two people and a lot of gear. I suppose you could get up to 6 adults in there if you had to, but who would want to? My wife and I had plenty of room for gear, to move around, and to put up a queen sized air mattress. Good ventilation windows and decent height, though I still had to duck my head getting in and out of the tent. I'm 6'1" and made do comfortably. I certainly did not want to buy a larger tent. This tent is a good buy and I recommend it. It served me well in a long camping trip and should do the same for you.

We bought this tent to accomodate four people (2 adults and 2 kids) on our trip to Alaska.It was to be used interchangeably with other types of accomodation. We ended up using it more often than we planned to just because the places we visited often did not have any other accomodation. The tent is great for four people - spacious and comfortable. I liked the fact that it only has one window (back wall) that you cannot close at all (windows on other sides have the zipped flaps), which is still covered with the dome rainfly. The tent still has a good ventilation but does not get as miserably cold as our previous tent did. The best thing, though, is that this tent kept completely dry in the rain that lasted day, night, and half of the next day. It was pouring steadily and this was the only protection (other than sitting in the car) that we had to keep us dry. AND IT DID. Not once, but a few times. Thumbs up to the Coleman company and their guarantee of the weather resistant features. The porch is a great feature - you can store things in it withouth having to clatter the inside of the tent. The rain does get into the porch as it is not protected but we used the tarp to cover the front and it was ok. Once you practice setting it up it takes no longer than 15 minutes. After using it for over a month three things happened: one of the poles kind of broke off at the end (which we secured during the trip with a duck tape so we could still use it),and we knew it would need to be exchanged. Also, the tent's material on top- the part you push the poles through - got a rip (it did not affect the weather resistance of the tent but was an indication that in the future we might have a problem there), and the porch got a hole right where it was attached to the tent, which we discovered after an army of ants walked in. Beacause of all that, my husband contacted the Coleman's company upon our return - the tent still had the warranty as we had it only for three months. The customer service was great and helpful. As a result, we have received a new tent. So I am giving five stars to the product and the company because the product did keep us dry in the most miserable weather and altogether it is a quality product (even despite the little mishaps), and secondly because of how the company listen to us and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. I will not hesitate in the future to buy more products from Coleman, because I think when you have a quality product and quality people behind it, you know you will be taken care of if the need arises.

definitely a 2 person set up, but you can disassemble yourself. zippers are nice, the patio has 2 doors that zip together at the middle and each door has a zipper at the bottom. the door to the actual tent is a single door with a screened window on the other side. it was a fairly simple set up your typical fiberglass poles, from one corner to the opposite, and the porch has one pole that arches over the door and down to the front two steaks. easy enough to fold as long as you can get it the right size to fit in the bag. it can definitely fit 4 people comfortably, 3 if you prefer more personal space, and the patio was very spacious. I don't know how waterproof it is but it held air in while I was rolling it up and the material seemed pretty sturdy. the rain cover seems to be well engineered over the side windows, you should still be able to get some air through the side windows. I can't say the whole patio space would stay dry in the rain but I think you can assume that just from the photos. overall a pretty simple tent I loved the patio feature and it was a good price for my budget. I was able to take it down by myself and wes really simple. I did need help setting it up tho. (not seasoned so I'm sure someone could do it by themselves if they wanted) GREAT TENT, LOOKING FORWARD TO CAMPING IN IT!

I purchased this tent after quite a bit of research, and found some really good reviews and the price was great for the features and quality. Our first trip out was a five day/four night camping trip, and it rained every day and night except the last one. We were the only tent on the campground that was dry inside! The screened-in porch was wet, but not an issue, the bathtub floor kept that water out of the internal tent and even with the windows open, we didn't get any rain or condensation inside. When temperatures dropped into the 40s, we closed the windows and stayed pretty warm and again, no condensation! I did not waterproof or seam seal anything, just straight out of the box! So, we were very impressed! The porch was a great feature for dirty shoes, and other items that you wouldn't want in the tent or to sit outside. It was also a great buffer zone to keep the inside dry and relatively clean throughout the trip. It is a pretty quick and easy setup, it may be difficult to set up by only one person, I needed help to set the cross poles over the main tent area, other than setting those poles, I set the rest up by myself with no issues. We only had two of us sleeping in the tent, there was plenty of room for two cots and all our gear. It would also easily hold a queen blow up mattress and gear. If you are looking to sleep six, you will likely not have much room for gear or anything other than sleeping bags. The porch would fit a small camp table and folding chairs. I'm 6 feet tall and could not stand up completely in the porch area, but could stand in the middle of the inside tent. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and look forward to another trip!

I took this tent camping with two little girls and me. We were swimming in it. This tent will fit 4 adults very comfortably...a family of 5 with kids with no worries. The main area is about 10x10, and the porch area (screened) is another 4x10. The tub floor is tough, made of tarp material, and comes up the sides about 6". Very good design, and tough enough to put a deck chair on. The fly is easy to set up and covers the windows/doors adequately. Poles and pegs each had their own carry bag. You will have to roll the tent and fly up tightly to get it back in the carrying bag. However, I had no problem doing so. The bag then also held extra pegs and a rubber mallet. This tent is a terrific value for the price. It looks very good, too. The screened area is open to the rain on the far side, so consider that when keeping things out in the area overnight. The part closest to the main tent is protected. However, this "porch" does give a very workable area to take one's boots/shoes off before going inside the main compartment, or for storing gear if you want to access it from the tent without having to go outside. VERY handy. In warm weather, it also would give a place to take a nap free from bugs, but not inside the full tent, to enjoy a nice breeze, out of the sun. My only complaint is the back end of the main area is screened from the top to about 3' off the bottom. There is no way to close this off. It's covered with the fly, so no rain will get in, but in very cold weather this will keep the temperature in the tent relatively low. Therefore, I consider this a 3 season tent at most. However, the tent was high in the middle, steep sides make the floor area essentially the usable area, and there are pockets to hold small items inside. There is also a loop in the top center for hanging a lantern. LOTS of room inside. Tent poles were easy to assemble and thread through the guides, and the shock cords were all intact and appear to be well made (but light duty) This tent was well crafted, all stitches looked straight and aligned, and the zippers all worked fine. The pull strings are not the strongest, so just use care and you'll be fine. The tent pegs were standard light duty. You may consider upgrading them if you're going to a place other than a regular campsite, but for us they were quite adequate. I put down a LARGE heavy duty tarp under this tent, and for rough terrain this is a worthwhile precaution. The tent bottom is made up of tough tarp material, but why take a chance? The tent is also a pleasant color combination, and doesn't stand out in the woods. Overall, we're VERY pleased, and I highly recommend this for families who go camping occasionally, as well as car campers who will use it a lot in three seasons. It is NOT a backpacking tent--it's too large in the package, and too heavy. Nice job, Coleman!

アメリカンサイズなのか、5人用ですがかなり大きく、設営には広いスペースが必要です。組み立ては比較的簡単でした。たまたま途中から雨の降る日に使用しましたが、入口側に広いネットスペースがあるので内側に物が置けて便利ですが、天井側にもネットを貼った部分があるので雨が降ると内側に風雨が吹き込みびしょびしょになってしまい片付けは大変でした。雨の心配がなければ大丈夫ですが・・・・

water leaked through the tent even though the rain was light, and we wished there is some sort of cover for the screenroom/porch. the eslaticstring core of the poles is broken on the first use.

The delivery was fast and packed safely. No mis-stitched seams. All parts are there. Although the flooring was not made whole, theres an interconnection that were glued to each end (2nd pic). It looks like a manufacturing defect. I worry that rain water may seep in in the long run. I have not tried camping with this tent yet and im hoping it will not cause any trouble to us. No more issues aside from it.

Es una EXELENTE casa de campaña, caben muchas personas de manera comoda. El porche de visualizacion es amplio y muy agradable. Es facil de armar y de desarmar, to me tarde aprocimadamente 14 min. en armarla y 15 en desarmarla. La caja incluye estacas pero hay que llevar un martillo. La casa es muy amplia, la verdad más de lo que esperaba, en el medio de la casa, cabe parada una persona de 1.70m. Las centanas están muy amplias pero el problema es que la ventana de atras, esta muy grande y no tiene una cortina, hay que ponerle el toldo completo, el cual tapa todas las ventanas, menos las de enfrente de la casa, que dan al toldo(las estan en la puerta y a un lado de ella) Yo, personalmente, tube un problema y me salio defectusosa, pero la devolví a Amazon y me regresaron todo mi dinero.
