will this drive run too hot in a PlayStation 4? i know it'll be faster than the stock one but it's the heat that i'm concerned about.

Honestly i had the original hard drive in and played the ps4 for 3 days probably 3-4 hr sessions and it did get warm when i put in the western hard drive i really could not tell the difference it gets warm but never anything past what the orginal did

Yes it will work. However, if you are having issues with over heating and you hear your fan always running. I would replace the battery. Mine was over heating and the fan was always on. I replaced the battery and it's like a new MacBook Pro.

The HP model you have there came with a 500gb Sata II 5400rpm drive while this newer model series is a 7200rpm Sata 3 6gb performer that will be backclocked somewhat to match up with the older Sata II bus as well as provide the faster access time simply from being a much faster drive to begin with. You won't get the Sata 3 performance however. But the drive will still work on the Sata II bus. Wird in Verbindung mit einem HDD-Gehäuse als externe Festplatte benutzt

Ich habe mir diese WD Black und ein Gehäuse gekauft. So habe ich mir eine externe Festplatte selber zusammengestellt. Bei den meisten fertigen, externen Festplatten weiß man ja leider nie so genau was für ein Laufwerk da jetzt drin ist. Mit der WD Black habe ich eine qualitativ hochwertige Festplatte.Hier ein paar Dinge die mich überzeugt haben:+ schnelle Lieferung+ günstiger Preis+ große Kapazität+ sehr kompakt+ läuft sehr leise und einwandfrei..eigentlich liste ich noch negative Elemente auf, jedoch sind mir bisher keine aufgefallen.Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
