Excellent flash drive!!
UPDATED Review: New Samsung DUO Plus I purchased this after upgrading my MacBook Pro to the new 16” model, which has USB-C ports. I originally bought a similar duo drive by Kingston, but couldn’t suffer the slow speeds and constant freezing, so looked for something better. This flash drive allows you to use both USB-C and USB-A, which is convenient if you are transferring files from a laptop to the new Mac. Remember to line up the arrows when using the USB-A adapter for optimal performance. I run a speed test using the USB-C port on a MacBook Pro and the results were: 64MB/s write and 383.9MB/s read, which is very impressive. The product is well made and comes with an end cap to protect the connectors from accidental damage when not in use. Samsung advertises that the drive is shock-proof, waterproof, temperature-proof, magnet-proof and x-ray-proof, which would be ideal for travellers, photographers, etc. Ideally, I would like Samsung to offer a smaller USB-C drive like their FIT Plus, which is 2/3 smaller than this one (see photo comparison), as the smaller flash drives have less chance of breaking if caught on something. Until then, this is a great alternative. I would definitely recommend this product and would happily buy again. Original Review of the FIT Plus: I searched the internet for good USB 3.1 flash drives and was in two minds whether to get this or the SanDisk. I've always used SanDisk drives in the past, but thought I'd give Samsung a go. I have to say that I've not had any problems with this at all. It transfers data very fast and I've not experienced any warming up of device (even when large amounts GB's onto it). It's small and doesn't stick out like other flash drives. It's perfect if you want to put movies on to watch on your TV or music to play in the car.

Excellent little USB 3.1 Flash drive
I bought this on 12 February from an Amazon retailer called Yoltso. Delivery was much quicker than expected too, so that was a bonus. The drive itself is small, only slightly bigger than the USB port and it only juts out a little bit, it doesn't interfere with any other devices plugged into the ports next to it. It does have a little slot so can be added to a keyring etc. It has a total capcity of 119GB and it's fast compared to any of my other USB 3 devices, as this is 3.1. I do have 3.1 USB ports so that clearly helps. I would recommend this 100%, bearing in my Yoltso had this on offer for £14.99 too, so it was a massive bargain :)

Works well with the Playstation Classic
Great looking little drive which is fast enough and, so far, reliable. It's the perfect USB 3.0 flash drive for expanding the capabilities on the Playstation Classic as no physical power mod is needed when using it (most USB 3.0 sticks require more power than the PS Classic can supply from its standard USB port). Saying that, whilst this USB 3.0 thumb drive works with the PS Classic for running BleemSync 1.1.0, the initial setup and eBoot flash procedure does require a less-power-intensive USB 2.0 stick. But once the PS Classic is flashed successfully with the new firmware the data on the USB 2.0 stick can simply be copied to the Samsung UBS 3.0 drive which works perfectly from that moment on, which results in faster loading times etc. A very neat and capable little USB 3.0 drive. It's not the fastest USB 'thumb drive' and generally reaches speeds between 20MB/s and 40MB/s (tested on Mac and PC whilst formatted as FAT32) but it's more than fast enough for the Playstation Classic and, in my experience, is still quick for such a small USB stick.

Very good, near great.
Review for the Samsung MUF-128ABEU Fit Plus 128 GB USB Flash Drive https://amzn.to/2Xip77R Works straight out of the box. Runs cool, even when used for 'ReadyBoost'. My system that I tested on: MSI Z170A Motherboard. I7-6700K CPU @4.4Ghz. 16GB 2800Mhz DDR4 Ram. Samsung 850 Pro 1TB. Transferred a 15.5GB mp4 video. Using USB 3 socket for transfer. Average read speed of the Samsung USB: Circa 300MB/s. Average write speed: 45GB/s. Although it reads well and operates cool, the write speed 'Could' be a little better. Overall, it's quick enough and hopefully reliable enough going forward. Happy with it.

Big, cool temp. Reliable - so far. Great Purchase.
First up - I gave Durability a 4-star, as I’ve barely had it a month! Second, it’s Huge, compared to the SanDisk USB Fit. However, it’s cool as a cucumber, whereas the Fit could probably warm up your dinner leftovers... It sticks out the width of my pinky, but this doesn’t represent a problem, whether in use or when popped in my backpack. I leave the Samsung Fit uppermost. Used for Windows - occasionally not recognised on the first Save, but more often recognised than the SanDisk. Has a keyfob loop, if required - not used. No complaints. Good price. If it lasts as long as their EVO SSD’s, it’ll be a great purchase.

Very pleased - great for smart TVs.
I had previously bought some 32GB Sandisk Ultra Fits which have a similar looking spec. Now I don't want to hate on those, they work just great as MP3 music stores for your car. However, like many flash drives they have a problem that they heat up when you write to them (perhaps because writing requires higher voltages than reading). That means that for some applications, for example time shifting on a smart TV, the drives spend more of their time writing and can get very hot, which leads to failed recordings - very frustrating when you intended to record a one off event. That is why I was very pleased to discover these alternatives. I can confirm the finding of another reviewer - I've had it recording a 4 hour sporting event and it never got more than luke warm. I have not had it for long, but I'm hopeful this will ensure a longer life. On performance when copying files: the SanDisks used to start up fast and then slow to a crawl on write, I assume that happens when an on-chip RAM buffer fills up. On read the SanDisks were good for everything I needed. The Samsung drive seems have a somewhat slower write speed, but maintains this consistently for the entire copy. Again read speeds are excellent. Price wise it's currently only a little (maybe a third) more expensive than the SanDisk, but I think it's going to be money well spent. Recommended.

A very useful addition to a notebook computer
High capacity, well priced memory stick (I have the 128GB version) with VERY fast write/read speeds, particularly useful with notebooks or “super tablets” which come with a limited capacity SSD instead of a HDD. You can bring your favourite songs and movies without taking up space on the main SSD. Very compact and so unobtrusive, it can be left in place most of the time. I use it with my Lenovo Yoga Thinkpad.

Lasted about a year and a half; so far it seems difficult to get replaced under the warranty
Update: I also have another 256GB version of this drive and that has now also failed, lowering my star rating as this is unacceptable. I do not recommend these drives. Great speeds, great form factor, but stopped working after a year and a half. The drive no longer mounts and is not recognised by the BIOS (not recoverable). I have memory sticks over ten years old that are still working fine so this is very disappointing. Worse is that it seems almost impossible to contact anyone to claim on the warranty. Other manufacturers have a straight forward RMA process, but so far I have been given several web links from support on Social Media, these involved filling in forms only to be sent to another department with vague instructions. It seems like I have to call a number but this is also vague. Into my third day of trying to get this thing replaced.
