did what it was supposed to do
Did exactly what it was intended to do....(by-pass the vehicle immobilizer). Needed this to do a remote start install on my wife's 2009 Honda Accord. One very important thing to know is that you cannot just buy this and install it...IT WILL NOT WORK!!! You have to, with no exceptions, have the device programmed or "FLASHED" as they call it in the industry to your specific vehicle. I was lucky enough to find a local car audio/security/remote start install place that "Flashed" it for me free of charge. Different models of these things go with different needs, so make sure you do your homework on which one to buy. Not that it matters to anyone reading this, but the remote start that I installed in her car was the Audiovox APS901C. It is a very simple but effective remote start with no fancy bells and whistles.....but she loves it.....and it makes her cold mornings a little more bearable!

Audiovox remote start antitheft bypass
As a former Ford dealership tech, I am familiar with Audiovox remote start systems. They made the ones purchaced in the Ford accessories catalog 5-10 years ago. Anyway this device is used to by pass the antitheft (P.A.T.S) system with the encoded key. This device MUST BE PROGRAMMED!!. Make sure to buy the programming cable or have an Audiovox dealer nearby to do it. Very clear directions

Not For Private Use - Authorized Distributors Only
If you are not an installer and authorized by Audio Vox don't waste your time buying this. You must be a dealer to program this box to match the vehicle it's being installed in. I am so pissed that it wasn't until after the installation (hours) that I learned this. Audiovox tech support is not willing to help and on both calls, two different techs belittled me for even having one of these in the first place. If I wasn't supposed to have it then this item should be FLAGGED as Dealer Only item.

Great product. Quick, easy and clean install. Make sure to check Flashlogic's website to see if it can work on your vehicle and then get it flashed.

I had to return because I need a different bypass unit that will need to be flashed with firmware for my vehicle.Check compatibility at [...].
