Good but maybe a little biassed
The guide is thorough, comprehensive and sound. It refers mainly to the climate of the US, though. Moreover, the author, beside being an expert in green roofs, is also personally involved in their creation and seems (but my impression may be wrong) to be a bit biassed in favour of species he has grown and used in his professional career. On the whole, however, the guide is reliable and complete. It includes a bibliography and a list of the major species that can be used on a green roof (together with pictures and details such as rusticity, height, width, typical landscape role, special features).

Good plant guide, but the first 1/2 of the book is best obtained from the internet
The first three chapter regarding green roofing are sparse. I found much more detailed information from simple internet searches. The final chapter, Plant Guide, is much more detailed and comprehensive. One last note, it would be nice to produce this guide as an e-book and not waste trees on green topics.

Excellent resource for planning and building a sustainable green roof
Excellent resource for planning and building a sustainable green roof. Lots of great photos to help understand the design process more fully along with ensuring the right plants are installed to minimize maintenance and maximize water remediation/reclamation.
