Product quality terrible!
I bought these for my little dog who is very picky about what she eats. I like the fact that they are 100% chicken breast and totally USA sourced and packaged. But even more than that, my picky little dog loves this treat! The pieces vary in size from about thumb size to crumbs, but my dog will lick all the crumbs out of her bowl to get every piece. But what a pleasant surprise that one of my cats likes these treats more than the dog! Now if I feed one, I have to give the other treats too or they snatch it from each other. I am very happy with this product. Update: I just ordered another container if the freeze dried chicken, and opened it today. The first thing I noticed was the dark brown color, then a weird chemical smell. The chicken was overly dry and I will not feed it to my dog or cats-it is going into the trash. I don't know what happened to Stewart's quality control, but this totally unacceptable. Buyer beware.

Great no-crush packaging low calorie dog treat
If you’re gonna buy this type of dog treat, I definitely recommend this company and this form of packaging. These little puffed chickens tend to get crushed in packaging. That’s just bags particularly one shipping or even if they’ve been stored on a shelf in a store. These come a nice solid, really hard, good quality bucket and they stay exactly to the form that they are supposed to a very little chicken dust at the bottom like other brands. I think in terms of taste, my dog absolutely love them. The thickness is good and these are very good low-calorie treat if you’re trying to manage your dogs weight.

Terribly rancid odor and pets would not eat!
I was initially pleased at the bucket (size and quality) and intact pieces of chicken; that was, until I opened up the container. The smell nearly knocked me over. Totally rancid, like bad oil. My husband described the smell as a weird chemical odor and said he was glad he did not have to eat it I'm unsure if these are freeze dried from cooked chicken (safer) or from raw chicken. Couldn't seem to find that on the container, and it would be nice to know. However, I did discover, based on the best by date printed on the bottom of the bucket, that the chicken was expired. I'm guessing that it might have also been stored in the heat. I have purchased freeze dried chicken from other brands, and my pets have always loved it. There were never any strong odors with those prior purchases from what I recall. Stewarts was cheaper, but not in the long run if unusable. One of our cats took a little nibble and walked away. Our dog, a large German Shepherd, wouldn't even try tasting the Stewart's brand. What a waste, especially for the chicken who died for nothing

Amazing quality that helped keep my cat alive when it was touch-and-go
This chicken breast, which I bought as treats for my two dogs, was the first and only thing I could get my 14-year-old cat to eat when she was deathly ill and battling a serious UTI. She was on oral antibiotics for a month and didn't eat for almost as long, about a week before she started the meds and two-plus weeks after. I tried everything: tuna, Churu, turkey, ham, milk, CatMilk, cheese, you name it. She walked away from everything except these treats, which I tore into tinier pieces. She eats a little dish of these every day now, and her appetite has expanded to include her chicken Temptations. I honestly think my kitty would have wasted away if not for this chicken. I am now subscribing and will feed her what she wants for as long as she wants! Thank you, Stewart's! SIDE NOTE: Beef livers are also excellent for dogs. However, I had a horrible experience with my last order of the salmon product, which was more skin than fish and very poor quality. I don't recommend it AT ALL,

A change in the chicken treats? Beef liver still great!
I've bought these -- both the freeze dried chicken and beef liver -- countless times for my 15yo Havanese after, a few years ago, she developed bladder stones. She's LOVED both, but definitely favoring the beef liver ones. The past few tubs of chicken, however, seem 'off'. I typically crumble the larger chunks between my fingers since my dog is older and her teeth aren't the best. I've noticed there are more and more chunks that leave a sticky/oily and smelly residue, which is surely tendon or connective tissue and not 100% breast. My dog, who will typically eat anything, sniffs at these bits and refuses to eat them. The beef liver treats still seem exactly as they've always been. The supplier of the chicken breast currently being used must be cutting corners for profits.

Amazing Quality & My Dog Loves Them!
These Stewart Chicken Breast Freeze-Dried Dog Treats have quickly become a favorite in our home! I love that they are made from a single ingredient—just real chicken breast—so I know exactly what I’m giving my pup. The protein content is super high (74%!), which makes them perfect for training rewards or even as a tasty meal topper. The pieces are a great size, not too crumbly, and they don’t have any strong odor like some other treats. Plus, the resealable tub keeps everything fresh and is very convenient for quick access during training sessions. And as someone who looks for grain-free and gluten-free options, these check all the boxes. Most importantly, my dog goes absolutely crazy for them! Highly recommend for any dog owner looking for clean, healthy, and irresistible treats.

Spotty quality control
The quality control is spotty Sometimes most of the chicken strips are crushed into a granular powder Our dogs like the taste
