How wide is thr part that fits onto the cabinet? My cabinet is 1 3/4in

Is the spacing wide enough for the huge paper towels rolls?

Just barely, you have to roll it manually to get the paper out. Fine for the regular size though.

My cabinet is 1/2 " thick. Will this work?

I originally bought this to fit on the countertop over my kitchen sink but, the countertop was too thick for the opening. I thought I was going to have to send it back but, I found that this will fit over the top portion of the cabinet door. I put it on the lower door of the cabinet and it works well there. It is a little lower than I anticipated but it works there very well. I have to bend over to get the towels off the roll but, we all have to improvise with things we want. Good luck with yours.
