Love this spray! I went to Aveda for esthetician school and they did an Instagram video comparing all the heat protecting sprays and creams and this was one of the number ones. I love it because of the soothing smell and it makes my hair so soft. My curls love it too!

Used this with my Dyson airwrap when curling my hair with the bigger barrel. I have long (mid-back), thick, fine hair and it won't hold the airwrap curl at all; by the time I'm done with my head, half the hair is flat already. So I bought this to use pre-styling. The Dyson airwrap suggests that you start with damp hair when curling, and this spray product is supposed to go on damp hair, so it seemed like a good fit. I tried it today - used a spray bottle to dampen my hair and then used this styling spray directly on sections of my head right before curling. I wish the spray nozzle didn't spray such a concentrated jet, but more of like a broad spritz. It drys with a nice light feel that seems only a little harder on sections where I might have sprayed too much, but it's still invisible. Curl is holding much better! I did NOT brush/comb out the curls very much after finishing as I'm giving them time to set. I will update in a few hours on how long it lasted. No drawbacks to this product really. Planning to use it with a finishing spray in the future as well so I'm not looking for perfect, just another step to help hold the curls. So far, would buy again. Pleasant scent.

This BIOLAGE Thermal Active Spray has become a must-have in my heat styling routine. I really wanted to like this product based on many reviews but it wasn't a fit for me. I am starting to grow my hair longer (past shoulder length) and use heat styling most days. I tried spraying this in my (fine) hair for the first use (probably 4 sprays) and then brushed it through. My hair felt dry and crunchy after styling. I will admit it held curls well! Since then I have tried just spraying it in my hands (2 x) and running my fingers through my hair. Despite this it still has the same effect. I can even see residue in my hair sometimes. It basically feels like high hold hairspray to me. It does smell nice, but the smell doesn't really linger.

My fave thermal spray, holds my girls for days.

This product is a game changer for me! It won't be for everyone though. My hair has been thinning over the last 10+ years and I've tried a plethora of different products to help thicken, volumize my hair. At its current state, my hair cannot handle any oil based heat protector. I tried one highly recommended brand and it made my already fine and thin hair so limp and lifeless. So then I decided to try Biolage heat protectant spray as I was intrigued that it also volumizes. It worked wonders for me! It created texture, volume and a thicker feel. I know most people want a soft feel but not me as soft equals lifeless for my hair so I'll take the rougher texture to get the volume. The spray is a bit sticky so beware of that but for those with hair like mine, it really helped!

Uso muy poquita cantidad en relación a cómo estaba acostumbrada con otros protectores térmicos, porque si no mi cabello se enreda en el cepillo cuando lo seco con secadora.

So far, so good. I switched from the Nivea brand I was using because my eyes are getting so sensitive to everything now at 52. Bottle leaked a bit.

Definitely does protect and increase volume and hold. Don’t know why they say it’s unscented though. It does have a scent. Smells like all the other products in that line.

It makes the hair to feel dry like it feels after foam. First, I didn’t like it at all, then I started using it only if I need some special hair preparation for the event. I don’t like to use it every day, I still need to get another hair protector now…(
