Havaianas Men's Brazil Flip Flop Sandal

Although someone has stated before, this is not a women's flip flop, it's a men's, but here in Brazil we don't really care. They all fit 2 sizes at the same time, but the women's have some minor differences in design. I say that because I'm Brazilian and wear these since I was a little kid and I can guarantee there is no Brazilian person who doesn't own at least one pair of them. They last forever, they are very comfortable, but not so cheap on Amazon, since a pair of Havaianas in Brazil costs about US$7. In the past, Havaianas were so cheap that only guys working in construction would wear them (you can wear them all day long and still be comfortable), 15 years ago or so the company managed to make their products super popular with new colors and designs. Anyway, my fiancé is in the US and I wanted to give him these, so I bought the pair from this seller and the delivery was really fast. Plus, in the end, it was cheaper than trying to buy and send them there.

My wife says I don't have enough color in my wardrobe & shoes, so I bought the brightest, most outrageous colors I could find. How's Brazilian flag colors, honey? I jest, but seriously, I was going to use these for casual jaunts to the beach, as I was getting tired of cleaning sand out from between the footbed & outsole of the Crocs Athens (those of you who have Athens flip flops, you KNOW what I mean). So, I bought these Havaianas, from a recommendation from a GIRL who wears the women's version of this, says it's the best, most comfortable slippahs, even over the ones they sell here in Hawaii. Bottom line, how do they fit? The size chart is true; you do want to order just a little bit up though, otherwise they **JUST** fit right. I usually wear a men's 6 or 7 depending on the brand, but these fit my 9.5" foot perfectly with just barely 1/4" space on the front and about 1/8" space in the heel. How do they feel? SO COMFORTABLE, like wearing anti-fatigue mats on your feet. I've worn these about 3 weeks straight now, no foot pain (I'm getting older LOL), no heel stress or fatigue. I've walked all up & down Ala Moana shopping center, on the beach, in the sand, at the shoreline, on the docks & pier...no problem at all. Totally comfortable. The rubber, another proprietary blend (according to the manufacturer, kind of like Crocs in the way they have a patented material & method), has flex, is actually "bouncy" and spring to it. If you take a toe and "squish" it into the material, you can feel the softness, but you can also tell it's supportive. Also the rubber "MOLDS" to your foot after a few weeks. How do they function? Because the strap is contoured downward at the toepeg, it holds onto your foot. The only complaint is that if your feet are wide, the strap can feel restrictive, and can "pinch" until broken in. Also, there may be some loose rubber on the underside of the strap (from the manufacturing process) and it can rub and irritate your skin, just carefully get a razor and scrape it off, like I said, carefully, until it's flush, then you should have no problems. How do they travel? You can put them sole to sole and neatly pack them in a backpack or in luggage, they take up very little space...folded down like this, maybe 2.5" x 4" x howeverlongyourfootis". Compare this to the Crocs Athens that do NOT fold down...put sole to sole, my Athens M6 is over 6" x 4.5" x 10.5". Takes up a lot more room because of the Crocs top strap, doesn't compact downwards. So...Overall, next to the Crocs, possibly the best flip flop, beach sandal, slipper, ever???

Third pair of these flipflops, very comfortable, decent durability and they are quite stylish.

I've been wearing these my whole life and they are great and durable. I've tried other models but found that they don't last. This is the original classic havaianas.

These were hands-down the best rubber flip-flops I have ever owned. They are on the "floppier" side, but that's what makes them some comfortable. They're spongy and not that noisy. They have a clean and basic look that I love. I had concerns about the sizing when I ordered them, but they were perfect. I wear a 9.5 US, and the 10-11 was a perfect fit. I would recommend these to anyone. Although they might be expensive for some rubber flip-flops, they really are worth it in the end.
