No special tools required, just screwdrivers. *This did not come with a new distributor board. My last replacement set did. Mine worked so I guess the distributor board was ok. Just noting this because I expected it, but it is not advertised as having one, so the product came as advertised. Review: Perfect Replacment - Tested the LED strips in my TV and replaced the one that was malfunctioning with the one I ordered. Worked like a charm! They aren't the exact same model as the ones used in the factory version of my TV but was still a functioning alternative. Only wish they sold by individual strips instead of whole packs. I'll just end up saving the ones I didn't use in case any other go out since it's a notorious problem for TVs that use these LED strips. Fast shipping too. Thanks!

Saved a TV from the landfill.
I about threw this TV away. My son convinced me he could fix it. Not totally believing it, I ordered these strips and...he was right! They work great and a TV that about ended up in the landfill is working great!

This worked for us! My son fixed our TV! He referred to a YouTube video for step by step instructions to first diagnosis the problem and then on how to fix our specific TV. He had never done this before. We were thrilled that it worked!
