Presidential cookies: The lure and the lore : cookie recipes of the presidents of the United States Paperback – January 1, 2003

Got this for a gift for gal friend who has tween daughters that are getting in to baking. They loved it, especially Mom. Liked the history lesson in the process. We really enjoyed reading all the stories that come along with the recipes. I bought two and glad I did... thinking of giving the other as a gift too.

I purchased this book for my brother-in-law, a retired English professor, a history buff, and a former pastry chef in the Navy. The book fit the bill perfectly, as it provides recipes of some of the favorite confections of some of the Presidents. My only complaint is that the seller listed it as "new." It was not; there was a smudge and erasure on the cover, and a dedication handwritten "To Elizabeth" on the inside. I contacted the seller, and never received a response, refund, or apology.
